need help building PC to drive a "Videotron".
wowotek replied to wowotek's topic in New Builds and Planning
Hey, do you have any solution regarding the mobility, since that PC will not be permanent, instead it will be in moving state most of the time (by courier). i am afraid with the GPU only secured by 2/3 bolt to the casing. -
Budget (including currency): $2000 - $3500 Country: Indonesia Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: TouchDesigner, TouchPlayer, Resolume, Blender, VLC, ffmpeg Other details: My "Videotron" Equipment is 4 Xiaomi A Pro 65 Inch. Each support max resolution up to 3,840 × 2,160 @ 60hz. typically I ran all 4, each of them with 1920x1080. I Already have a PC with i7 gen 11 with RTX 3060 and 32 GB RAM. which can run all of them really well for Video playback use. And a couple hiccups per use for Resolume Use Case. But a really bad FPS like below 40 - 15 FPS for TouchDesigner / TouchPlayer with Bullet Physics (Collision) with about 100-200 Particles. i want to upgrade my PC to support the usual resolution but with good Framerate for TouchDesigner / TouchPlayer Bullet Physics (Collision) Simulation with a lot of particles. I'm thinking using RTX 4090 and good CPU since both needed for physics simulation. What do you think ?

i mean, i like the Fractal 202 so much. and i want a case that more or less like that.
-
well, i game a lot like maybe 12 Hours a day. should i move to larger case ? i really want the SFF
-
no i don't really want to OC anything. is there any other recommendation for squeezing up my 2000$ ? i got a spare there. Thanks for helping me !

Ok I Got that, but what about the cooling ? for this form factor, would it be a problem? i mean, i need a pretty beefy performance here. Oh and also, i don't really mind a bit of a noise.

for number 3 what's the difference the standard and the AM4 version. is it interchangeable ?

Hello Guys, For the next month. i'm planning to build a Small Form Factor Gaming PC. What i do on this PC is : AAA, some RTS and MOBA Gaming. Streaming @ 1080 and 2K. Video Editing @ 1080 and 2K. OpenGL, OpenCL, and Back-End Programming. Application Development; PC, Android, IOS. Office Thingy I Already Had Dell 1440p 60Hz Monitor, Keyboard and Mouse, and Windows 10. so i got a $2000 Budget for the component. for now here's what i got : PCPartPicker part list: https://pcpartpicker.com/list/pjk8QZ Price breakdown by merchant: https://pcpartpicker.com/list/pjk8QZ/by_merchant/ CPU: AMD - Ryzen 7 2700X 3.7GHz 8-Core Processor ($319.69 @ OutletPC) CPU Cooler: Noctua - NH-L9x65 SE-AM4 CPU Cooler ($49.90 @ Amazon) Motherboard: ASRock - Fatal1ty X470 Gaming-ITX/ac Mini ITX AM4 Motherboard ($172.22 @ Newegg) Memory: Corsair - Vengeance LPX 16GB (2 x 8GB) DDR4-2400 Memory ($169.99 @ Amazon) Storage: Kingston - A1000 480GB M.2-2280 Solid State Drive ($141.99 @ SuperBiiz) Video Card: Zotac - GeForce GTX 1080 Ti 11GB AMP Edition Video Card ($778.99 @ SuperBiiz) Case: Silverstone - ML07B HTPC Case ($69.99 @ B&H) Power Supply: Silverstone - 600W 80+ Gold Certified Fully-Modular SFX Power Supply ($114.99 @ SuperBiiz) Total: $1817.76 Prices include shipping, taxes, and discounts when available Generated by PCPartPicker 2018-06-09 18:41 EDT-0400 There is a lot of question and consideration before i finalize my build. i would like to make sure about the cooling, fit, and performance. i never build a system this small. i really need your help for picking the right part while squeezing the performance on my budget, the cooling and the part fit. I cannot sure about the component will fit in the casing, so i take the list from linus's video : The BEST Tiny CASES on Market I Already Had the Full Sized System, so yeah, i don't want the same Form Factor. Thanks For Helping me.

Hello, I need a new PC that i use for standard gaming, i only play little game for example: dota2, PUBG, CS:GO. and standard non time critical video editing and rendering usually 1080p and 2K max. i already bought ASUS GTX 1060 3GB single-fan (PH-GTX1060-3GB). i already have my peripheral keyboard, mouse, and dual-monitor. So i just need casing, and all-other except those. i got Ryzen 3 1300X in mind, but i feel this is a bit bottlenecking my GPU, and i don't want to give up on my processing power. should i give up on my power supply and upgrade it later, or i give up on mother board. please, any recommendation would help. thanks !
-
yeah i know that i mean maybe i buy the processor and motherboard first and then buy the GPU later, considering 1050ti is better than 1050, i got GT210 from my old pc maybe i can use it while i wait ?
-
so you give me full pc build, if i say i don't really need this fast, and i can upgrade this later. do you still give me the 1050? or 1050 is good enough for 3D rendering and make later budget for upgrade to SSD instead?
-
yea I need a brand new pc, and I consider using a new storage drives. and also 500 bucks is my initial budget, so i can upgrade the pc later.
-
this is from my old pc, it's too old LGA775 mobo as far as i can remember. so maybe i can use this
-
hmm, I said it is initial budget, so maybe you got any recommendation for me maybe instead of full gear i can go CPU MOBO and PSU first or something else.
-
i used to work at 720-1080p, but with this maybe I got 2K in Mind Micro-ATX sorry.
-
I work in Multimedia Company, so I need to reduce my rendering time. I already have pretty nice monitor and Mini-ATX Case. I got 500 Buck of initial budget, I got an idea to use AMD Ryzen + 1050 Ti. or can you give me another alternative and/or recommendation ? Thank you.
-
how about i3-7100 and Asus H110M-E D3 ?
-
Ah i'm sorry ! I don't need the Case and Power Supply
-
yes he said I can lend his GTX1060 until he bought new mobo for 1151 socket (1155 and i5-2310 currently). so what do you think?
-
i got a real emergency situation that I need PC for next 3 days. I got 350$ this emergency build. I use this computer for online exam next week, but I want to build a mid range or decent gaming PC this computer real need further expansion for graphics card, and this is where I found a complicated and I really confuse what to choose. either use i3-6100 or A10-7870K or FX-8320E. another thing, my friend actually have MSI GTX 1060 on his bottlenecked computer. help me, my friend
