  2. The freaken cooling should be amazing on this . Only problem is i'll probably need to buy a new PSU with this if I ever won it lol.
  3. My most favorite part of the laptop is probably the brushed aluminum, I have had 2 laptops in the past that was handed down to me (still using the 2nd for school despite its lack of compute power) and what I've noticed is, plastic with some type of paint always chips away and will never last more than half a year before that actually happens. Aside from the brushed aluminium though gotta be the 850m mmmm the powers...
  4. Definitely the screen, can't go wrong with that resolution and you can always fix it was color correction later if the yellowish tint bugs you that much as Linus mentioned.
  5. Mmk, if that is the case I'll take that into consideration. Although finding good 2133 MHz ram for a good price and at this budget may prove a challenge haha.
  6. Thanks, that's all the information I really needed. I can get a A10-7850k from microcenter with GA-F2A55M bundled for a total of ~150(they do great bundles and always super cheap cpus). @DEcobra11 looking at Patriot memory that is going to be 2x4gb @ 1866Mhz speed as I know the APU depends on system memory more than other processors.
  7. Hi, I've been doing some googling to see if I could find some solid performance numbers of the A10-7850k in terms of its GPU but couldn't really besides the fact that it can get ~30fps on med on bf4(at an unknown resolution and unknown other settings). A few of my sister's friends wanted to help build a graduation/birthday computer for her but is on a very limited budget and so the only thing that came to mind that fit the needs were the APUs. For the most part the CPU performance will be more than enough for her needs. The only thing I'm actually worried about is the GPU side as she does play a ton of L4D2 and occasionally other horror games such as Outlast. So if you guys could just let me know if this can handle that i'd be great. If not other possible recommendations? Trying to build a whole computer from scratch with approx 400 dollars that can handle those tasks. OS doesn't need to be considered into price, I can get free OSes from Microsoft Dreamspark program.
  8. Favorite thing is probably the 90% metal that is used. Second favorite is the 801 processor. I'm a power hungry user >.<
  9. I got 40/80 without looking anything up. Like others said, printer questions are brutal lol. Not modern at all either.
  10. Now I really want to get a chromecast to do this. But college has robbed me of most of my money already so I can't exactly get one right now T-T
  11. The closest thing I found to a phone keyboard case is this. http://www.amazon.com/Case-Multifunction-Bluetooth-Backlight-Specially/dp/B00AUKZ2O4/ref=sr_1_7?s=wireless&ie=UTF8&qid=1395010320&sr=1-7 Looking for one because I want to ditch my obese laptop for my phone which can do everything I need it to including writing papers and programming(CS major). I've considered getting a stand and a bluetooth keyboard for it but I want to have it in a all in one. There are times when I want to use it to emulate psp games/gba games and having it in a all in one would allow me to use it as a controller as well.
  12. In my personal opinion, its cheap for a AAA title but personally I think Titanfall is going to be one of those games I'll play for a day or two and then drop and only come back to it maybe once to thrice a month. So because of that, I'm gonna wait for EA's 50% off thing. I'm saying this after actually playing the beta before anyone calls me out on not having played it.
  13. Hi I was wondering if anyone knew of a way to live broadcast from a phone to sites such as twitch.tv or livestream. I have a nexus 5 so I'm pretty sure it can handle a decent amount of data thrown at it and I'll probably be able to get myself on a very dedicated wifi connection while trying to live stream the event. If not any other suggestions? I can bring a laptop but the webcam on it is... well crap. If it matters my phone is rooted if the application or other method requires it.
  14. I tested it with a usb dac I got with my soundblaster tatic3D sigma headset. Ditched that usb dac though cause it had a few issues with the voice isolation where unless u were literally screaming into the mic it wouldn't pick up too well. Was wondering though, wouldn't it be ok if I just got Xonar DG despite all the interference the mobo and psu may give off?
  15. I would prefer something much like this since I would much prefer to connect my GX900ES to it as well via RCA or a 2nd 3.5. Also is this any good? found it while browsing amazon. http://www.amazon.com/Syba-Stereo-Headphone-Amplifier-SD-DAC63057/dp/B009WN7QT4/ref=sr_1_4?ie=UTF8&qid=1388999171&sr=8-4&keywords=usb+dac
  16. Hi just wanting to know the best bang for the buck I can get for 50-70 USD. The main reason why I'm looking to get one is because the DSP/Caps/???Alien is giving off static on my mic vent and Skype calls. Otherwise the audio output is still very clear. Features I am looking for is active noise cancellation or isolation which I found very very helpful cause on the side of my computer I do have a GX900ES which I do use while playing LoL and on Vent. From what they've told me they've heard nothing even when I have the amp pushed fairly high so I do want to at least retain that. 2nd hand mic:salar m6(maybe i'll get a new one of these as well) Mobo: MS-7752 sound card onboard Realtek® ALC892.
  17. Mine would have to be the music from Kingdom Heart and almost all the music from Final Fantasy VII: Crisis Core http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eb6MF0IfsvQ&list=PLB7E86BA3D7DF6B23
  18. Pokemon Red but like someone else said earlier if you consider it actually beatable, otherwise Command and Conquer Generals/Zero Hour.
  19. Hi, I recently ran into a problem while trying to setup a VNC connection to a server I had just rented for personal use. I essentially followed this guide line by line but I end up with a brown screen that I will attach to this at the bottom. http://www.havetheknowhow.com/Configure-the-server/Install-VNC.html thinking that the virtual desktop didn't work I opted to install the real desktop using sudo apt-get install ubuntu-desktop however that did absolutely nothing and vncserver still shows the same exact thing.
  20. Well I don't exactly know how to fix the problem the correct way but from experience, pulling hardware in and out can sometimes freak out windows to a point where it won't boot(even into safe mode). The ways I've personally fixed this is by either A doing a recovery with the install disc or B using a different computer or bootable cd/usb to backup the data and just re install. I'd say do B only if you don't have much installed and are willing to go through the whole process of re installing everything. I also have to note that there were a few times when the recovery did absolutely nothing so bare that in mind if it is time critical.
  21. I got windows 2008 r2 enterprise on it(thanks to dreamspark program and my college). edit found out google chrome wasn't sending out the commands correctly most of the time so I'm now using firefox to send the remote powering right now. Hopefully it works.
  22. Well, I had actually contacted them about that in the first place. Before that I had tried to remote power off the server and remote power it back on but it didn't even power off according to its status.
