  1. THanks for the updates guys! I will consider your opinions and suggestions!
  2. Hey guys! So what do the rumors say about the upcoming Intel CPUs? Should I rather wait than trying to buil a new PC at this time?
  3. Hey! I´ve been out-of-date instead of up-to-date with hardware for a couple years and need some advice and explanations, if anyone finds some time to do so! Much appreciated I will jump straight into the topics: These are the planned specs: MSI MPG Z490 GAMING CARBON Intel Core i9-10900K, LGA1200, 3.70 GHz, 20MB, Boxed 2x Corsair 16GB (2 x 8GB) Vengeance RGB PRO - TUF Gaming Edition, DDR4 3200MHz, Samsung 1TB 980 PRO SSD, M.2 2280, PCIe 4.0, NVMe, 7000/5000 MB/s A-Data 2TB XPG SX8200 PRO SSD, M.2 2280, PCIe 3.0, 3D TLC, 3500/3000 MB/s Asus HYPER M.2 X16 Gen 4 CARD -lisäkortti, 4 x M.2 paikka, PCIe 4.0/3.0 x16 PSU IS NOT DECIDED YET CPU COOLER NOT DECIDED YET Am I missing smth? 1.) I was planing to go all out with a RTX3090, but its expensive and not worth double the price of the 3080, imo. -> Is a 3080Ti in sight? Any common pattern when they usually release those after the stock ones? -> According to a PSU calculator, combined with a 10900k and some little things, a 750w PSU would be enough. Is that true? -> Should I consider other choices than a 3090? Is it a crazy idea? Let me know! 2.) I was wanting/planing to build my new PC with only M.2 NVMe drives, in this case 2 of them. One with 2TB 3500/3500for windows, data, etc and one with 1TB 7000/5000 for games and applications. For that I planned to use an ASUS PCIe slot expander where one can put 4x NVMe. https://www.asus.com/Motherboards-Components/Motherboards/Accessories/HYPER-M-2-X16-CARD-V2/ Are there any downsides to that? I couldnt find any downsides. Would that work as 2 drives, would it compete with a GPU for PCIe bandwith? **Little edit: Where would you guys savve a ton of money?
  4. Hey! I have been wondering and researching a bit but couldnt find too many answers on this topic so I want to hear your opinions! I was wondering: Is there some kind of correlation between the TIER of GPUs and CPUs? I mean, if I was to use a 3090, how do I know what CPU to choose without finding the GPU unable to get through the bottleneck? Is there a rule-of-thumb? I was planing to save up for some time and get a 3090 at some point early 2021. What would be the LEAST I should get in the CPU department? (107xx; 108xx; 109xx?!?!) Any kind of answers and research appreciated.
  5. Thank you all very much for your time and consideration and will to help! I will get to finding and ordering those parts and start building it soon!
  6. Budget (including currency): 1000€ Country: Germany Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: Mostly gaming, some light entertainment Other details: Will be used with a 1080p wide-screen monitor Hey guys! I´m a bit out-dated when it comes to keeping up with the latest wars between AMD and Intel, that´s why I am requesting for some suggestions. The PC is for my little brother who still lives in germany (I moved away some years ago) I would appreciate if anyone knew where to get those pieces from easily?! WEB page suggestions, where I could order from, in germany, would be appreciated, but not a must! I am mainly after the build and the part suggestions here! Requirements: - NO MONITOR or other peripherals needed! - NO GRAPHICS CARD INCLUDED IN THIS BUILD (I will buy that one later, since the 30xx series is to be announced Sept. 17th) - 2-3 drives maybe? NVMe for OS (doesnt need to contain games, but could if budget is enough), SSD for current and prefered games and maybe an HHD for the rest. - Case, if possible, see-through on the side pannel at least. - Cooler doesnt need to be AIO water cooler. I will probably want to go with the NH-14 Thanks in advance to whomever will take their time for me to help with this!! MUCH APPRECIATED
  7. Thank you everyone for the amazing help! I got it fixed after a few attempts of windows bootable USB Had to disable UEFI first and then it worked on the 3rd attempt! All is well now!
  8. Custom built, everything else works. I get into bios without issues. Only doesnt boot into any device or drive...
  9. Hey guys! So I´ve had issues with building a new PC. The PC that is to be built is made of: GTX1060 i5-6600k 8GB Corsair Vengence DDR4 RAM 480GB Toshiba OCZ TR150SSD Z170 Pro MOBO Problems; IT DOESNT BOOT FROM ANYWHERE!!!! I´ve tried following things already: Boot from a CD drive -> Either doesn´t accept the CD drive or simply doesn´t want to load the windows CD USB -> EIther doesnt see the USB or simply doesnt want to boot OR EVEN just start loading the windows file Already installed windows -> Not accepted by motherboard, cant read the SSD or when I click on "Boot windows normally or repair windows" it simply restarts the PC and goes STRAIGHT into BIOS mode... Trying different Hard drive -> Same problems as above Trying to find other issues like blinking LEDs or something for error warning -> No problems existing I NEED TIPPS AND SOLUTIONS PLEASE FAST!!! This has been a problem for a week now... Thanks in advance! :(
  10. Does anyone have experience with curved IPS panels (DONT MIND PRICES NOW) Lets say I was to not care about money..... But I still want THE REAL FUCKING GAMING EXPERIENCE Curved / IPS / <4ms blabla Like something like the: Acer Predator XR342CK But in Linus´s video he says the real world latency was about 13ms.... That is inacceptable tbh... The only thing in price that would be amazing apparently is: Acer Predator XB321HK
  11. I meant MINIMUM 1080p. I have a GTX1080 SOC....it should do!
  12. Hey guys!I was going to buy myself a new screen since my old one is quite like 4 years old if not 5 (LG IPS277)I would like a lot of opinions! My criteria would be:I should be another IPS monitor, hopefully LG but doesn´t have to be.IPS QUALITY IS IMPORTANT TO ME!!!!I want those typical IPS whites and colors in general! I use the PC 12 hours a day for work, school, gaming, movies ect!!Please DONT go above 800, or it will hurt me A LOT! (Stay around 500 maybe, if possible, if not Ill have to think) 4K is NOT necessary but I wouldn´t say no either.1080p is minimum though, but an upgrade would be nice!Good latency for gaming 1-3ms ect....I dont know what else...
  13. If I have a GTX1080, it supports G-Sync I know that But does it also bring Free-sync?

  16. Wait. On what are you basing your statement of next month/october-ish? I´ve heard it was next year
  17. I was going to build a new PC, including an i7-6700K. Is it worth it or should I wait for the next generation? When will the next generation be or in what cycles do they get renewed?
  18. Thank you guys for all the support and tips and advice! I´ve made up my mind I guess!
  19. I was just thinking the one I have right now is still usable, although old, but still working 520W. Is the danger of breaking parts real when it comes to older PSUs? Like Linus mentioned in one of his vids? Or if I have this tolerance of lets say like in the pic ~120W, that should be enough if I only add another SSD or so?
  20. I was going to build myself a new mini-ITX build with these specs below in the picture. THe PSU calculator said I´d need only that much amount of wattage. I currently have a 4 year old PSU for 520W Is that still enough or will I have to increase the tolerance gap for the PSU a.k.a. buy a new one with 600W+??Hey!
  21. I tried Battlefield 4 on my own , running it from an HDD and it took 4,34 mins o load shanghai... The SDD took about a minute....
  22. Thing is: Im having an EVO SSD for my Win10 OS already. THat´s cool and all, I was just wondering if it would help if f.e. Battlefield, or any bigger loading game would come from an NVMe SSD
  23. I wanna get myself a new SSD for gaming, faster loading times and performance. Is it worth it? Samsung 256GB 950 PRO SSD, M.2, NVMe, 2200/900 MB/s Also is it compatible with this motherboard? Asus Z170i PRO GAMING, LGA1151, Intel Z170, DDR4, mITX
  24. I am going to build myself a new PC and wanted to use the i7-6700K. I´m however CONSTANTLY reading BAD REVIEWS about all kinds of mITX boards for Skylake CPUs. Can anyone help and suggest? Requirements: (OPTIONAL) M.2 SSD USB 3 connector Overclockable?! Also if possible PLEASE don´t cross the 200~ bucks milestone by too much!
