  1. Hello - I have a GTX 1060 6gb. I just recently got an ASUS PG279Q monitor and since the jump from 1080p to 1440p I have been having some issues. Whenever the GPU hits 77 degrees C - according to GPU-Z - my whole system will shut down. I don’t think I hit this temp before at 1080p. Based on my understanding, the GPU should throttle at 83 and shut the system down around 95? Right now the fans aren’t even hitting 100%. Is there a setting I can change somewhere to fix this?
  2. Turns out I needed to update the drivers for the monitor - duh. Thanks for the help!
  3. I think I would understand less FPS with 1440p than 1080p that I had before...but to totally crash the computer? I don’t think the graphics card is forced to push 165hz with the monitor either. With gsync the monitor just picks up frames when they are ready up to a max of 165hz.
  4. I’ll try this but can you tell me why this might work?
  5. Yesterday I got a new PG279Q from ASUS...everything was great until I started playing league and then my computer would do a hard reboot every 10 minutes. I haven’t changed anything else so this must be related to the monitor. Any ideas on what the problem is or how I can fix it? I have a GTX 1060 6gb, i7-7700k, 16gb RAM. Thanks for the help!
  6. Alright, I have replaced RAM, MB, PSU, Heat Sink, and still no POST...has to be the CPU, right?
  7. Alright, I bought a new motherboard...Gigabyte Gaming 7. I still can't get a POST though...it's hanging on debug code 79...CSM initialization. Any ideas?
  8. Ok, I will start the RMA process then! Thanks for the help!
  9. I keep all my important files on a separate drive so no issue there...is it possible to do a clean install when I can't get the USB media going without a BSOD? Can I wipe the hard drive somehow from the BIOS?
  10. No luck on the other Ram slots...is there a way to update/wipe drivers if I can't boot into Windows or boot from my Windows bootable USB? Like taking out and putting back in the battery on the motherboard?
  11. IQRL Not Less or Equal Page Fault in Non Paged Area
  12. Tried this...so far no luck. Got a system thread exception error on next restart.
  13. No, I hadn't done any overclocking at all yet.
  14. Ok, so I was playing TWW on Friday and all of a sudden I got a BSOD and my computer crashed. Since then it has been stuck in a restart loop with lots of different BSODs, right after I get past the screen where I can go into the BIOS. Examples: System Thread Exception Not Handled KMode Exception something IQRL not found or something Errors relating to AHCPI.sys, and others. i tried replacing my RAM with new RAM to no avail. I unplugged my graphics card and all other add ons to no avail. I can't even boot my Windows bootable USB. System Specs (built in August 2016) EVGA 650P2 i5-6600k nVidia 1060 6GB Previous RAM 2x4 2133 Giel Potenza DDR4 New RAM 2x8 Vengeance 3000 DDR4 Wifi/Bluetooth Chip ASUS z170-P Samsung 840 Pro 128gb Toshiba OCZ SSD 500gb Any ideas would be very welcome. Don't have a clean Hard Drive, but can order one if necessary.
