  1. So I've had my Ryzen 5 1600 OC'd to 3.9GHz at 1.35V for awhile now. But I'm thinking about trying to achieve 4 or 4.1GHz. What would be the maximum voltage you guys would recommend to be using as a daily OC? I have a Cooler Master Hyper 212x Turbo as my cooler, so it should be able to cool my CPU fine even under higher voltages.
  2. 1080p, and 720p. What would be a good way to alleviate the CPU bottleneck without getting a whole new board?
  3. My friend recently picked up a gtx 1050 to put into his older system that he got on Kijiji for cheap. It has an Intel core 2 quad q8400, and 6gb of ddr2. For some reason he's running CS:GO at 40fps. I'm thinking there's a CPU bottleneck. Do you guys think that the CPU or the RAM are bottlenecking the 1050? Or could it be something else like the PCIe bus on an lga 775 motherboard just not being fast enough to keep up with that card?
  4. I'm trying to install Linux Mint on my Dell Inspiron 7559, and everytime I try and boot from the USB the loading screen will freeze with two of the dots being white and three of them being green. I have tried pretty much every bios configuration too. I've turned legacy boot on, disabled secure boot, all that. Same result every single time. Please help me
  5. Use a program called DBAN. Just google it. It's super easy and relatively straight forward. Just use the blank mode for internal redeployment, unless you want a more secure wipe.
  6. It's not a bad deal. If you want to just buy it and throw it in your current system then upgrade when you can that's not a bad idea.
  7. I personally would never buy a card that old. But as far as performance don't expect much.
  8. Yeah I didn't think people like Paul's Hardware would recommend it if it was a dodgy site.
  9. The extra cooling is nice, it can extend the lifespan of the card and can give you better acoustics. However the extra power isn't all that necessary. 6-pin should be plenty.
  10. Do you have any other recommendations as far as sites? Or is biting the bullet and pay $100 for windows my best option?
  11. You're macbook would be a netbook compared to this thing. Also don't buy windows full price buy it from kinguin.net they're quite reputable and you'll save a bunch of money.
  12. Has anyone successfully been able to get an i5 to a stable 5GHz overclock? If so how and what're you using to cool it?
  13. It's always been a problem just no one's done anything until now. Because the amount of times friends of mine buy systems to meet the recommended requirements of games is too many. People just waste their money on incredibly high end systems that they don't need. I think it should be a requirement to have your game on steam that you need accurate system requirements.
