  1. My card keeps itself amazingly cool, idle is about 25C and under load it barely goes over 40C, sometimes not even 35C. My temp limit is set to 80C, but like Linus said, GPU Boost hardly works
  2. Do you think it's possible I got a bad card or something?
  3. I did, but it was unplayable, so I turned it off
  4. Funny you should say that actually because PhysX was one of the biggest things to take a hit on it, from High to Off gave me like 20 FPS
  5. Yep, everything is at the latest
  6. I just installed AC4 on my PC and it is running at a ridiculously low FPS on the lowest possible settings, I have a GTX 770, so it's not exactly a weak card but I'm almost never going above 40 FPS when in a city and even worse when in the jungle areas, is anyone else experiencing this? Is the game just horribly optimised for PC? I just feel that this is stupid, why would NVIDIA bundle a game with their card which it clearly can't run well, unless the answer to that is because it is just not optimised correctly and I don't know what GeForce Experience is doing because with the settings it's suggesting I'll almost never go above 25FPS. Is there any way to increase the FPS without lowering the resolution (I'm not even at 1080p), or are we stuck until Ubisoft starts taking PC seriously? I'm so glad I never bought this game.
  7. Just ran it 5 times and all seems swell, thanks for the advice! I guess it's time to go raise it some more now
  8. Yeh I had Splinter Cell Blacklist and Batman Arkham Origins crash on me and it gave me a message saying something like the Nvidia drivers had stopped working or something like that, do you think that could be an indication?
  9. So you can't get artifacts from just core clock OCing?
  10. So yesterday I got a GTX 770 Lightning Edition from MSI and I want to overclock the hell out of it, seeing as that is basically what they are made for, but I don't really have much experience overclocking. So now I'm asking you guys for the best ways to check if you have an unstable overclock, do you just have to keep putting up the clock speed until it starts artifacting or can unstable OC's lower FPS and things as well or is just artifacts I'm looking out for here? Any help would be much obliged. P.S: I'm air cooling it just in case that would make any difference
  11. I ask because it's currently on sale and is only £5 more than the Gaming Edition, but I heard they are pretty similar overclockers when it comes to air And I know, right! I've never liked the designs, I get the whole that yellow is meant to resemble lightning or something, but what I'd really like to see is if they replaced the yellow accents with white ones. Now that I'd buy.
  12. What do you guys think? If just plain ol' air cooling and not water/liquid nitrogen cooling it, is it worth the extra money compared to a cheaper non-reference model?
  13. Sorry for the extremely late reply here and you probably don't even care anymore but I mainly buy things like these from scan.co.uk
  14. I'll be trying to merge this with my OS drive and if it requires re formatting then I'll just leave it, but I just wanted both of them to be seen as the same drive as I didn't want to go through all the sorting process, then I forget which is on which drive etc
  15. Hi all, So I'm buying a new 1TB Hard Drive as my current one is almost full, but when I install the new one I would like to just merge the two so windows sees it as one, simple as that, I'm not interested in any RAID or anything, there's nothing important enough on my current drive to care about any protection. With that in mind I was researching to see which would be the best way to let Windows see the two drives as one and it seems JBOD is the way to go, but I have no idea how to set it up. So what would be the easiest way to go about doing this? Do I need any additional software or can I do it straight from Windows? Obviously I would like to spend no money while doing this, so a way to do this for free would be good. Thanks, Paul.
  16. That's amazing, though it seems a bit too arcadey for me
  17. Most likely a 4770K and I know, but that would have to be three Y splitters and I'd prefer to use the boards native fan headers
  18. Hi, So I am in the neighborhood for a new motherboard and I have a Corsair Carbide Air 540 with all available fan mounting options filled (6 total) and as you might imagine, it is very loud but it does cool like a beast, however because I am using just some old motherboard that came with my old HP pre-built computer (I won't be making that mistake again) and it only has one Fan Header so I just have all my fans, except one, plugged directly in to my PSU so they are all running at full speed. Thus I will be needing a motherboard which has six fan headers and preferably 2 CPU headers so I can install a good cooling solution for my CPU (which would be a Haswell chip). I was looking through ASUS' stuff because I really like their motherboards, they would be my number one choice but I didn't see anything which matched my required needs. So what board would you guys suggest? If their is anything by ASUS then please let me know, otherwise which one should I go for, I saw some Gigabyte boards which had what I needed but neon green just really isn't my thing... Thanks, Paul.
  19. Really? I thought their warranty policy was that they didn't cover accident damage and only manufacture faults? Anyway I just emailed them so lets see how this goes...
  20. Was that the whole LCD behind it, or was it just a cracked screen? Because I can get it fixed for £40 easily if it was just the front screen but it's the entire AMOLED display that's gone
  21. Hi all, So that day came today, you know, the day you really wished you would of bought that big clunky otterbox. So as the title suggests, I dropped my phone and now I need a replacement screen. Does anyone have any idea how much Samsung will charge to get this thing fixed? Its not just the front screen, the whole LCD behind it is completely broke. I was looking around and the cheapest I could find is probably around £150/£165, will Samsung charge much more than that? P.S. I'm in Scotland (Glasgow to be specific) so anyone who's from here if they know of any good, cheapish repair shops that would just be great. Thanks in Advance, Paul.
  22. Thanks And yeh, life's tough when you have slow internet
  23. Hi all, So I recently built my friend his first PC and I put a GTX 770 in it and there was a bundle in which Assassin's Creed: Black Flag, Splinter Cell Blacklist and Batman Arkham Origins came with the card, but he has an extremely slow internet connection and it would take his days, maybe even weeks to download all of them. So I was wondering, if I signed in to his Steam account on my PC and downloaded the games for him, could I then copy those game files on to an external HDD and just paste them over to his Steam directory on his PC and Steam would see that as him having downloaded them or would he still have to download them? Oh and it's only Batman on Steam so the other two are on Origin so could I do the same with Origin? Thanks, Paul.
  24. When I first got a PS3 it came with Lost Via Domus and it has scarred me since for being so bad and also i used to shit myself every time I went through a cave cause the next thing you know your lighter goes out and then it's just a bat rave up in that joint. Not played that in years though
  25. Gotta love a bit of SuperAntiSpyware. I use Malwarebytes, SuperAntiSpyware and MS Essentials and out of all of them Essentials is the worst, like it finds some things but Malwarebytes and SuperAntiSpyware do most of the work really
