Takes time for a channel to grow, especially during it's beginning stages. Just keep working on it.

The thing is, I want him to have a phone for safety as well as to have a little fun but not use the internet too much. He doesn't look up bad things he just uses YouTube like CRAZY and needs a time limit.

I would. You should've looked at it last week, Gamers Gate had it on sale, so about $44 USD for the normal, at ~$75 for Gold. It's a fun game. Much better than Beta was.

WIth an FX6350 and RX 480, I'm about ~45 FPS on a modified High setting. It'll be better when I get a better CPU.

Go get it. it's definitely fun. Haven't done multiplayer yet, but will by the weekend.

I'm going to say it's normal, then. BF1 seems to do this from time to time.

I wouldn't worry about RAM usage, either. It's pretty normal for a game to increase its memory footprint once you've played it for an hour or so and loaded in and out of several maps.
A "memory leak" is when a program doesn't release the memory it uses when it should, and it just keeps going until your system runs out and the application crashes. It's a glitch in the progam's code that the developers themselves would need to patch out. It isn't something you can fix and your own hardware can't be at fault for it.

Your CPU is currently the strongest overall gaming CPU in existence. period. Its not going to become underpowered or outdated for many years.

But if you're afraid about your expensive hardware becomming obsolete, then you could always just sell it and buy a pentium g4400 with a gtx 1050. at least that way you'll know you're obsolete right out of the gate =)

I got $7.92. Also you stated how the order should be followed; this question requires only multiplication, why would order matter? I know you said rounding errors, but how?

laushik reacted to ZimFreak in Heavy C/G PU Game
CPU heavy games tend to have a lot of different things happening at once. RTS games where you have AI and pathfinding code for hundreds of independent units are good at sucking up CPU usage. Other games that are famously CPU-heavy are ARMA 3, MS Flight Simulator X, GTA V, The Witcher 3, Civ 5, Starcraft 2,  Rise of the Tomb Raider, Crysis 3 and Ark. Mostly modern RTS, RPG, and Free Roaming games.

GPU heavy games are The Witcher 3, RooTR, GTA V, Crysis 3, Project CARS, Shadow of Mordor, BF 4, Batman Arkham Knight.

Knowing what will be CPU-based and GPU-based essentially comes down to knowing what each component does, then you should be able to estimate its workload. And I may not be the best one to ask about this exactly but basically the CPU handles all the under-the-hood code and math, like figuring out if a bullet collided with anything or figuring out how much damage you should take and if you're still alive after. The GPU handles everything related to actually drawing that picture on the screen. So it will figure out what is visible by the player at the moment, how to draw those objects at the right position and angle and layered correctly, then the real work comes with applying the post-processing effects. Just like SFX in movies, games use advanced filters to make the colors pop, or smooth out edges, or blur out the non-focused part of the frame, blend shadows, apply lens flare and motion blur etc etc etc. All of this processing takes time, and will make a game run poorly if the GPU can't keep up.

Don't upgrade unless your planning on playing at 1440p... the 1070 is awesome I have it and it is a beast at 1440p. At 1080p it's overkill and your not really using it to its fullest. Sell your 970 and get a 1440p monitor and then get a 1070.

I found a fix: turned resolution scale to 134% and I've overclocked my gpu to 2063mhz and 4450 MHz on memory. It puts more stress on the gpu and since I oced it, it compensates for the lost frames.

Even if you set it at max voltage it will be safe because all graphics card have a vbios that allows the card never to go above a certain voltage. So feel free to put the voltage at 100% and continue on with ur oc.
