Budget (including currency): 3000 (AUD) Country: Australia Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: Gaming I like to Get something big every 5 years or so that will last. Other details i was going to up grade my existing PC with a bigger M.2 as such i already have a 2tb Kingston drive im going to get Another and set them up in RAID 1 for Redundancy as far as a case goes due to where i keep it the power and USB HAS to be on the FRONT of the case. Im also unwilling to put an AIO in this one as i have built several PC's over the Last 7 years all of them for other people and all of them with AIO's and frankly i cant be bothered. those who asked for my help did most of their own research i just cheeked things would be compatible and built the things. Build im currently looking at: https://au.pcpartpicker.com/list/2FT7mr IM upgrading Simply because its time and i have the money to do so. monitor's are 2 4k Monitors.

fine ill back down ill admit their great coolers and as long as he doesn't push it too much then it should be fine.
-
the larger ones are great coolers but he has chosen the smallest one for general use yes fine but it might struggle with higher temps.
-
it would be unwise to overclock with that cooler.
-
as an after thought why not get a Pcie ssd.
-
the 7700k is an unnecessary price hike as a lot of the tests iv seen of it dont show much in the way of real world performance differences.

[Poll]How do you select computer components for a build?
Kantor replied to Trik'Stari's topic in General Discussion
I dont tend to do full builds my pc's are generally updated over time i often find the next thing that is slowing me down and upgrade it i sometimes build systems from the accumulated parts i try to read reviews whenever i can i also plan the future out in advance. this has lead to the ad hok addition of drives and ram as i need them as for the cpu if im going to upgrade that ill generally get a new mobo at the same time preferably from megabyte or Asus as for the cpu Intel preferd. if im buying a power supply ill defiantly read the reviews before ill even think of actually buying it. As for DOA parts i have a number of local shops i buy from and have never really had a problem with returns i dont like to order parts because the plases i would order from are close enough to me that ill get them in person so why pay postage. ill order sometimes when i can get a really good deal but not often- 37 replies

Monitor gets no signal when graphics card is installed
Kantor replied to KenoIsKey's topic in Graphics Cards
quite true but it is an annoyingly common mistake. -
Unfortunately i need to travel for work for a good while and i will be away from my pc for that time and i am interested in buying a laptop. im not as familiar with the current laptop market as i would like to be. and im looking for any suggestions mu budget is $2000AUD. i would like something with a 1060gpu but i can be flexible on the other internals though the ability to upgrade it is is important.
