  1. Are you talking about like an ionizing air purifier?
  2. Check out http://pcpartpicker.com/ and see what you can put together that's within your budget. Unfortunately, "future proof" isn't realistic at this budget, or really at any budget.
  3. This looks pretty solid to me for gaming in 1080p. I would recommend checking out PC Part Picker here: pcpartpicker.com/ and seeing if you can put together a similar build for a lower cost.
  4. I mean, if we're only talking about $10 here, and you're concerned about the number of connections, this seems like a pretty simple decision. Just my two cents.
  5. Do you have a specific budget for upgrading? Another 8 gigs of RAM likely isn't worth it for your purposes. I would allocate the RAM budget to a better GPU.
  6. What is his total budget? Maybe someone can recommend a better card for the same price.

    PC Airflow?

Out of curiosity, are you currently seeing high temps?
  8. Since you won't be overclocking a non "K" processor (not unlocked), the stock cooler will provide sufficient cooling. If you're really set on getting an aftermarket air cooler, the Cooler Master Hyper 212 Evo is a good choice. It has excellent reviews and will set you back ~$30 USD. Just make sure it will fit in your case before purchasing.
  9. You'll need to use that media creation tool to create a bootable USB drive. Up rebooting, you can enter the BIOS and change your boot priority to force it to boot to the USB drive.
  10. Grounding yourself is effective. What is more effective is avoiding the buildup of static in the first place. I recommend wearing some good thick rubber soled shoes while working, and also grounding yourself on the case or other metal object. ...even though you *technically* wouldn't be connected to the hot side of the wall outlet, I can't condone that idea. Like, at all.
  11. To the best of my knowledge, and as someone who owns a FreeSync monitor that's connected to an Nvidia card, the simple answer is no.
  12. Just to be clear, your graphics card has HDMI out, and you're adapting the HDMI out to display port in on the monitor. Correct? Either way, you shouldn't have any issue at 2560x1080. HDMI 1.4 supports this resolution.
  13. A 6600K will not bottleneck an R9 380. If you're patient, I'm sure there will be more 1060s available soon. I would advise waiting.
  14. 1. Decide on a purpose for the PC. 2. Decide on a realistic budget to fulfill that purpose. 3. Pick out your parts. Use a website like pcpartpicker.com 4. Make sure all of your components are compatible (PC Part Picker will help with this) 5. Buy. 6. Build. 7. Enjoy.
