Khaleesinikov got a reaction from RSX7 in Cheap mechanical keyboard
Does it happen to all keys? If it happens to only one then it could be a faulty switch or some dust (at least that is what I've read).

I'm a current owner of a speed red Gram Spectrum (G11SFL), and I have to warn you of one thing. After awhile of usage keystrokes might start duplicating. Sometimes when I go to press O for example, it registers as if I pressed O twice rather than once, although it doesn't happen very often. Don't let this discourage you from purchasing it, I just wanted to let you know before you decided to purchase it.

    Hey,

As you can see in my sig, I paired an OC'd 3570k with my GTX 1080.  I game either on my 1440p monitor or on my 1080p big screen TV depending on my mood.  I believe the GTX 1080 is the perfect card for 1440p, not a single game I play drops below 60fps.  That being said, there is a bottleneck when gaming at 1080p, but you'll never notice it unless you're constantly monitoring your system using Afterburner's OSD.

That's just my 2 cents -- my CPU is older than yours, however, given the overclock, I feel our systems would be on par with each other.  At 1440p, there's MINIMAL bottleneck -- when it does occur, it'll make sense (mayhem in GTA V, walking through the crowded streets of Novigrad in the Witcher 3, etc).

If you decide to keep your 1080p display, I'd recommend playing around with dynamic screen resolution.  That way, you can actually increase the image quality and push a lot of the system workload onto the GPU.
