Spenser1337 reacted to sazrocks in BMW Offices in Munich Raided by Authorities in search of Diesel Emissions Cheating
I was with you until here. Why the heck should this be done? Aren't modern diesel vehicles cleaner than equivalent gas vehicles, and get better fuel economy? Or am I misinformed?
And what fuel would you suggest high-load vehicles such as tractor trailers use?

Hahahah. Interesting. I wonder if they'd use the record of paying for that against people.
But let's be real, it's the internet. You'll never be able to stop the porn. You'll only be able to block the sites computer illiterate people visit.

Spenser1337 reacted to DarkBlade2117 in AAA Single Player Games are too expensive to make says Developer of Quantum Break
You don't see many multiplayer games being praised because most good ones are already out and don't require a sequel that squeezes $60 out of you ever year. Rocket League, CSGO, OW, LoL, OW, Dota, HOTS, StarCraft, PUBG, R6S ect are MP games that will be around for years. Meanwhile during the life span of some of these youve seen 2-3 SP games from the same franchise.

Yes, there is, but right now it is growing more and more fashionable to silence voices that you disagree with via threats, voilence, shouting, censorship, ect.
A certain popular extremist group in the US claims that an individual expressing a view that the group deems wrong should be silenced with physical violence because that group believes expressing that view is the same thing as physical violence.

Spenser1337 reacted to arnavvr in APPLE under French Regulator investigation for iphone 'planned obsolescence'
This is really stupid. Apple is a private business, and therefore they should be able to do what they want with the devices that they produce. Also, it can't be planned obsolescence as once a new battery is added to an older device, the performance would be restored back to the original speed.

you do know that the lack of competition is thanks to intel's braking international law many many times, with anything from million dollar bribes to break of contract, to the point where amd was forced to sign a contract where they cant sue intel anymore (in exchange for much needed cash)

Spenser1337 reacted to SpaceGhostC2C in Calls for Twitch to police 'sexual streaming'
The kids are all at youporn.
Young padawan, pre-internet kids were watching shows truly intended "for the whole family"... as it was actually the fathers tuning in (cfr. Xuxa and the others)

That's more of a corporate decision for Twitch than a reason to outrage, isn't it?

That's kind of for Twitch to say?

Illicitly would imply illegal or otherwise against a norm? Which norm is it, again? Certainly, a rule that doesn't seem to apply to pop music, hollywood movies, even news presenters sometimes...

Wow, that's a killer argument right there. I mean, the logical process, the cleanly laid premises, the buildup to the conclusion. You must be a philosopher or something.
Man, that could have been the motto of the Mayflower.

There is this show, you know, by some dude... goes by the name of Linux Sebastian or Linus Xavier, I don't remember... It's called "the WANK show", I believe.
You are kind of putting words in his/her mouth, aren't you? He said "it's plain wrong" is a pretty subjective statement to present as a discussion-finishing argument.
But, since you bring it up, yes, everyone of us has the right to judge what "a bad path is" on our own. You can, of course, issue warnings when you feel compelled to it, even give advice when advice is welcome by the recipient. I don't think "ban them all and let God sort them out, for being just WRONG" qualifies as a Samaritan warning or advice.

Well, if I follow your analogy, the conclusion would be that there is no issue to solve here, just like with mining.
Hey, you could even say that in both cases the answer is the same: "drill, baby, drill!"

The question remains, why do you give half a f*** about how people arrange the content of streams you don't watch?

Which is spot on. If games filled with microtransactions suck, why would you buy games filled with microtransactions? It's like hating games with bad graphics, then buying games with bad graphics, then complaining and asking for the government or someone to do something about it. In both cases, we are talking about something you can know before buying the game. Microtransactions qualify as "gameplay" to me, so games flooded with microtransactions are essentially bad gameplay games. Why would I buy a game that I know in advance has terrible gameplay?

    Once again, which "problem"?
