Hey guys, checking in again from Israel. 

Latest tech stuff:

 

Possibly buying a shattered screen S8 for 180 USD. Thoughts? 

 

Guy in my room brought one of those really slim SFF computers from a school, and we play smash and Mario kart with some off brand GameCube controllers and Dolphin emulator. Except it sort of got zapped by the shitty outlets, much like many other things. So yeah. 

 

The one super techy guy here who basically runs the place is leaving to the Army mandatorily. I had used his advice and surface book to root my phone, then break it, multiple times.

    I chose to go, yeah. My parents pay tuition for me to go to this religious gap year school. I could give a whole post about it if you want!

    It actually was the only reason I thought the edge series was a bad idea.

    @LukeSavenije I hate Apple's choice of a 100% glass iPhone exterior design for the same reason.  You hit or drop it the wrong way and THE WHOLE PHONE shatters!  I would've much preferred a design like they had before with the metal on the back and sides.  The front could still be all screen with this design, although I could see where waterproofing might be a little more difficult.

    @LukeSavenije I don't plan on repairing it immediately. It might not be worth the price. I'm going to try to use it broken for a while, then I might resell it. Might try the ifixit route, if I can get someone to bring a kit in with a screen replacement. But at some point it's cheaper to buy new, so we'll see. 

    I just reeeeeeally want a better shooter, so much to shoot here.

     

     

    In other news, Hot Mobile is charging us 300 USD for using 018 when overseas calling instead of 017. I'm fucked. Gotta call their support.
