  1. Anyone else curious whether my 500w White PSU is gonna blow up over this year? It's always, always running.

I'm literally using it in exactly the worst use case. At least I'm not mining on it 24/7 anymore. XD

      Origami Cactus

If it hasnt blown up yet it probably wont. But if it does it can kill every single component in your pc, including all the usb devices etc, i wouldnt try my luck tbh.

A good psu is around 50$/€/£ , so like 5 mcdonalds meals. Pretty cheap.

    2. YedZed

@Origami Cactus Yeah problem is I'm not in the country anymore

  2. Updates:

Didn't buy S8, too much hassle and not enough battery life.

Considering flashing new rom on phone for good. Thing is TWRP is a dick and doesn't "stick".

They finally fixed all the outlets in my room, so now I won't get killed in my sleep, and I can finally trust my friend's pc not to turn off while flashing my phone, meaning I can actually use it.

The super techy dude is leaving back to America. This time for real. Also, I got added to a really chill tech whatsapp chat.

New techy dude came to my school, and might lend me a laptop.

Roommates got fortnite working on his Mac pro, and now plays till 4 am.

  3. Hey guys, checking in again from Israel.

    Latest tech stuff:

Possibly buying a shattered screen S8 for 180 USD. Thoughts?

Guy in my room brought one of those really slim SFF computers from a school, and we play smash and Mario kart with some off brand GameCube controllers and Dolphin emulator. Except it sort of got zapped by the shitty outlets, much like many other things. So yeah.

The one super techy guy here who basically runs the place is leaving to the Army mandatorily. I had used his advice and surface book to root my phone, then break it, multiple times.

@LukeSavenije I hate Apple's choice of a 100% glass iPhone exterior design for the same reason.  You hit or drop it the wrong way and THE WHOLE PHONE shatters!  I would've much preferred a design like they had before with the metal on the back and sides.  The front could still be all screen with this design, although I could see where waterproofing might be a little more difficult.

    3. YedZed

@LukeSavenije I don't plan on repairing it immediately. It might not be worth the price. I'm going to try to use it broken for a while, then I might resell it. Might try the ifixit route, if I can get someone to bring a kit in with a screen replacement. But at some point it's cheaper to buy new, so we'll see.

I just reeeeeeally want a better shooter, so much to shoot here.

In other news, Hot Mobile is charging us 300 USD for using 018 when overseas calling instead of 017. I'm fucked. Gotta call their support.

@OnyxArmos Maybe, I'm not too good at it yet. Not sure which version we are using lol

  4. Note to self, bring physical media of installers to the country with the shitty dorms and no wifi

@vorticalboxI had a step down transformer but it instantly blew up and failed

    3. vorticalbox

Time to start making complaints. Have an walk around for other names of people have the same problem.

    4. YedZed

@vorticalbox@vorticalbox complaints here are funny, in fact any sort of communication is funny. There's no central authority, it seems.

  6. Currently typing with a keyboard and mouse connected to my phone wired. Cool shit.

There are launchers made for this too.

  7. Just logged in for the first time in months.

  8. I officially spent 4 hours in a Canada stopover, Toronto Pearson. Saw a Tim Hortons. It was exhilarating.

    Canada, eh?

What the difference between NVME and m.2

Wow, that was a long and well drawn out explanation. !givegold
  12. YedZed

    Best iPhone SE replacement

What are your preferences? Should we assume you like smaller phones like the SE, or should we go all out on size? Etc.
  13. YedZed

What the difference between NVME and m.2

wait, isn't a SATA 3 slot rated at 6gp/s? Or is that gigabit?
  14. YedZed

What the difference between NVME and m.2

Yeah basically. Very low-level software though. More like firmware.

What the difference between NVME and m.2

M.2 = connector NVME = protocol See Fasauceome
