  1. All fixed, had to call my provider to reset my ONT
  2. I reset my router to factory settings, but now when I try to access the configuration page via wireless or ethernet, the configuration page refuses to load. I'm using the default IP address, which is also what ipconfig shows to be what I should be using to access the page. I've always used that ip. What am I doing wrong?
  3. Anyone know about IPTV? We use TDS TV, and I got a new router. The channels will play for 5 seconds then freeze. The old router was a T2200H
  4. Well we got a router for really cheap, and it does work plugging the ethernet from the wall into the WAN port directly. I didn't know it would work like that. Thanks for all the help!
  5. Our router is a T2200H. I've found it is a VDSL modem. Does this mean all VDSL modems will work with our internet?
  6. Alright, I don't know how to figure out what kind of modem I need, so I'm just going to use my old router as a bridge.
  7. I do not know where the fiber actually terminates. I have no idea if this is correct, but this is what I assume is happening here: This brown covered wire comes through the wall behind the white box, which is a battery powered UPS installed by TDS. Then it goes into those two cream boxes, I have no idea what those are for. The white cable coming out the bottom is ethernet, plugged into the WAN port on the router. As long as the cable coming out is ethernet, it would just be treated as a standard connection, right?
  8. Thanks for the help. Thanks for bringing the modem part up, I forgot about it. Our router has a modem built in. If I were to get a modem/router combo, would that work on my TDS Fiber connection? I could use the stock router in bridge mode but that's not exactly ideal.
  9. There is only one AP I get signal from consistently, but it isn't too close. Most of the devices using WiFi are in the same room as the router, but I use my phone upstairs, which has to pass through one floor. Also, do most 5ghz routers offer the use of 2.4ghz at the same time?
  10. I'm looking into upgrading the router that we got from the ISP. I usually get 280-330mbps down, 140-220mbps up, and 4 ping through ethernet. Using wifi, however, gets at most 30mbps up/down and 15 ping. The main devices that use WiFi are 3 Galaxy s9's and 2 fire TV 4k sticks. Should I spend the money on a 5ghz compatible router? Would it bring any significant gains?
  11. Thanks for the help, but none of these really fit me. The original speakers only cost $20 so I really don't want to spend more than $10. I use my echo a lot with my PC off, so passing through wouldn't work, although I had no idea you could do that!
  12. So I've had a set of speakers that have two different audio inputs so I can use the speakers with my PC and my echo dot. There's been a fault with my original speakers AND the replacement speakers, so they are offering me a different model of speakers. They are better than the faulty ones, but they only have one input. I'm looking for a way to combine two 3.5mm inputs into one input. Is there a way to do this? I'd prefer a passive way, but I realize powered is probably the only way.
  13. I was wondering if there was a subwoofer I could use with my existing speakers, as well as taking in 2 inputs. I have 1 set of desktop speakers that have one 3.5mm jack, and one male 3.5mm cable coming out of it as inputs. I have my PC and an echo dot connected to this speaker, I can hear both simultaneously. Is there a cheap way to add a sub to this configuration, having both inputs use the sub at the same time?
  14. I'm looking for a solution to bring video from many sources (Netflix, Amazon Prime Video, The Roku Channel, etc.) into one program on my PC connected to a TV. Basically like a Roku or Fire TV stick but only software on my PC. A plus if I can also add my own video files into the program. I can't find anything that works like this. Thanks for the help.
  15. They use captchas to prevent automated entries...
  16. I have the same question as this Reddit thread that was never answered. I really want the functionality the "Bluetooth Device Control" panel provided, but I can't find a way to get it. Could anyone help?
  17. I feel bad for you, I got a GTX 1050 Ti for $123 during Black Friday.
  18. Headphones: Polaroid PHP foldable headphones Mouse: Acer Wireless Mouse Keyboard: Acer laptop keyboard Monitor: Acer G236HLBbd 23.0" Monitor Note: I am not an Acer fanboy, it just happens to be what I use because it is usually pretty cheap. (My parents won't let me buy parts to build my own PC, maybe If I get this I could convince them to let me?)
