  1. Welp, I think I found out what it is.. it my stupid USB Hub under my desk. I plugged in another mouse and keyboard and it worked so I plugged my normal mouse and keyboard into my Computer directly and it works again. Now only the audio is weird, but it is still plugged into the hub. This is really weird since it only happened from a certain windows version onward.. oh well, guess I'm buying a new USB Hub then
  2. If it's of interest, the 100% utilization on core 8 comes from ASUS Aurora and does not affect my problem. And the drive spikes seem to have disappeared completely now. Also wanted to add that my computer doesn't wanna shutdown. This has also been an ongoing problem, but more on an on/off basis. I feel like I'm at a loss it's so eradic..
  3. Well GPU usage, drive activity and RAM usage and all totally fine (15% on the GPU(s), 11GB of RAM used. However.. whenever it happens my C drive (The Samsung M.2 drive spikes from ~% usage to something like 80% and latency goes from ~0.3ms to sometimes more than 300. Hm happened a moment ago but I cant reproduce it again right now.. Additionally my CPU, while sitting at "only" about 40% usage, Core "8" sits fully used with no dips whatsoever..
  4. Hello Forum, I have now finally decided to try and get some help from y'all. So here's my Problem in a nutshell: Every time I go across a Window on my desktop etc my mouse kinda gets stuck for a bit. Sometimes my audio also spazims out, sometimes not. It also doesn't always stay on the edge, sometimes it goes a little further. This also applies other 2D elements like Buttons, Icons or similar. So basically everything interactive and different from something else. It for example doesn't happen inside a single Word Page or similar. Or for that matte while gaming, then everything is fine. Additionally my Keyboard constantly disconnects and reconnects in desktop for example when im searching for a program or on youtube. (Or while typing this post it happened like 5 times..) All this leads me to believe that it's somewhat software/windows related since it started happening after a windows update. - Ive rolled back to that update all the time, but now its like 2 years old and last time I tried it said "no more support". So Im stuck on this version now. - I've also done an in-place reinstall of windows, but that hasn't helped either. - I've reinstalled and DDUed my graphics driver losts of time now, but that didn't help either - I've also swapped around my GPUs, also didn't help - I swapped out my CPU I somewhat broke 2 years ago (only 3 of 8 memory channels were detected anymore), but it also didn't help (Although I can finally run it at 3.8GHz again lol) - I have searched around the internet and tried various things microsoft reps and community members have suggested, all to no avail. Here are the important specs: - i7 6800k - ASUS Rampage V Edition 10 - 2x GTX 1080ti - 32GB of Corsair Vengeance - 512GB Samsung 960 Pro - 1TB Samsung 850 Pro - 3TB WD Blue - 12TB Ironwolf Pro - Newest Windows 10 Version - Newest NVIDIA Driver - Newest BIOS - Lots of Software I can list if someone has a vague idea.. Maybe someone knows of a possible fix, or has even experienced this his/herself. I really dont want to format my C Drive and fresh install Windows, especiall since the inplace reinstall didn't do anything.. But if thats the only option so be it, this behaviour is REALLY annoying. But I hope there is some other fix.. I want to thank y'all already! Nick
  5. UPDATE: Oh, no, oh no, very much seems to be the IronWolf Drive! Didn't think it would corrupt itself after just 3 months of use.... I hope I can get Seagate on the line for this, there is some very new, pretty important, not yet backed up footage on that drive.. Let's hope Seagate Support is friendly.. Wow, I#m just so stunned..
  6. Soooo, here we go again, this time I have a WIndwos Problem! The Issue is that yesterday I normally shut down my PC and then, this Morning, after pressing the power button Windows had some weird boot, my LEDs weren't working correctly and all fans (controlled b NZXT CAM) were on full blast. Because of this, I decided to reboot. This is where it went REALLY bad. WIndwos then got stuck on the splash screen with the spinning circle. I followed many of the countless "solutions" online and none of it worked. By now I've managed to get into windows after waiting around countless Minutes, but everything is behaving weirdly, fans are on full blast (Cam isn't open and won't open), LEDs are off, I can't open Windows Explorer (crashes immediately) and everything is slow. On startup Windows sometimes says "Attempting to Repair K:". K is a 3-month-old 12TB Seagate IronWolf Pro drive housing all my pictures and videos I use for Movies, Videos etc. I've run chkdsk on K and it spat out the following: Der Typ des Dateisystems ist NTFS. Die Volumebezeichnung lautet Cams und Games. Phase 1: Die Basisdatei-Systemstruktur wird untersucht... 370176 Datensätze verarbeitet. Dateiüberprüfung beendet. 40 große Datensätze verarbeitet. 0 ungültige Datensätze verarbeitet. Phase 2: Die Dateinamenverknüpfung wird untersucht... Unbekannter Fehler (696e647863686b2e 532). Unbekannter Fehler (6e74667363686b2e 1713). (sorry this is in German) Essentially it says Unknown Error (696e647863686b2e 532). Unknown Error (6e74667363686b2e 1713). I am very sceptical towards this drive just being corrupted or dead because it's a 3-month-old enterprise NAS drive that basically only saw a few TBs of writing and maybe 1TB of reading in its lifetime. If it is, I at least still am in the warranty period, although it sucks for the data. (Though I think the drive has free data recovery) The other thing I haven't tried yet is doing the Windows reset thing, but considering it deletes ALL your programmes I am VERY hesitant to do so. My other Drives are a 512GB Samsung 960Pro, a 1TB 850 EVO and 4 -year-old 2TB WD Blue drive. I'll try unplugging m K drive and see if I can boot into Windows (Windows is installed on C, the 512GB 960Pro) that way. That would probably be better than losing all my programs. If this works I could try connecting it to another computer (though I'm quite afraid it might corrupt something) Looking forward for help In regards, Nick
  7. Wow, this actually worked magic! Everything seems to be working like a charm! Thank you so much!
  8. I have now DDUed the thing and am currently installing the NVIDIA drivers. The artifacting is gone and my 2nd Display works. Wallpaper Engine also seems to work again? It maght actuqlly work!
  9. Okay, I'll try DDUing it first. If that doesn't magically fix it ill post some pictures. Not "creasing" the cable is pretty hard, due to the spacing, but i'll try to adjust. Give me a minute EDIT: Also, my 2nd Display doenst get recognized. Not matter what port, even on the port my primary display is plugged into.
  10. Hey, So, I have somewhat of a problem after upgrading my PC. I have 2 watercooled GTX 1080Ti's in SLI that I put into vertical orientation using a custom fabricated solution mad from 2 Cooler Master Riser Kits. I also used the included Riser Cables. Both Cards detected fine in the BIOS (Only with 8 PCIE Lanes though, but I guess thats down to my damaged CPU, that also only recognizes 3 Memory Slots), so I filled up the system and booted it up. On the Windows lockscreen I immediatly noticed that there was some weird artifact which looked like my PC had 256 color mode enabled or something (See Image attached). Once Wallpaper Engine started I noticed extreme lag. After some diagnostics I thought I might be that my 3D Performance isn't working, because Normal Windows were working mostly fine. General System Performance is also fine (I'm currently writing this on the affected PC). YouTube etc also still work. After firing up a game, to find out how that would perform I found that it actually ran. Though, compared to before I had a bit more than half my previous FPS and lots of microstuttering and tearing. The Riser runs are pretty tight and bendy. My current theory is, that GPU2 is still working and GPU1 isn't. And that the processed signal is somehow passed through the SLI bridge to the other card and it's output. Device Manager also confirms that. It declares a Code 43 for the upper GPU (GPU1). I sadly have no way to acess the IO of the 2nd GPU, beacuse it's obstructed by my custom solution. I'm asking all of you if someone knows somthing I can do with Software or that someone can give me some tips on what to do hardware wise. Due to the system being watercooled tearing it apart is lots of work. Another thing to note is, that I live in Germany, I might not be able to get some products, at least not in a timely fashion (I need this PC for A LOT of Stuff :=P) Sincerly, Nick P.S. 11. Oh, thats sad. But I may have come up with a semi-easy solution! I'll try by modding 2 Cooler Master Adapters together and using the loads of useless pieces of metal that came with the case as spacers and adaters to screw into the pcie screwholes. I hope that's stable!
  12. Hey! So, I have a CaseLabs SMA8 and two GTX 1080ti's. I am looking to spice up the looks of my build by making them be vertical. CaseLabs wanted to sell a new Motherboard Tray for the SMA8 that had the possibility for dual vertical GPU's, but now they're bankrupt.. So, what shall I do? Does anyone know a solution to this that doesn't invovle custom machining or extreme jerry rigging? If possible I would like to damage my Cas as little as possible. I looked into modding 2 CableMod oder Cooler Master verical adapters, but I then the spacing between the cards would probably be off.. Help is appreciated! Btw, it's okay, if the ports of one GPU are obstructed!
  13. Well, now it sort of works again. It still flickers a bit, but is usable again. Hmmm
  14. Sooo, i guess I need some help again. I left my PC on overnight and came back just a moment ago, when I discovered that there was a white-ish border around the screen and that it was flickering like crazy. So, first I thought it was some sort of graphics driver bug. So I rebooted my machine. But after that the monitor was still flickering the same way. Even after I cut power to the monitor and plugged it back in it still flickered. So I did a reset in the OSD and unplugged the DP cable. Even then it keeps on flickering. Do I have a dead Monitor on my Hand?? And why is this happening. Does anyone know something I can do apart from contacting ASUS support and RMAing the monitor? Any help is appreciated in advance! Nick BTW, the Monitor is an ASUS Swift PG348 E71474FF-325A-49F8-ACF3-72714808CEA5.MOV
  15. Sooooo, apparently it was some BIOS related error. We put the MoBo on its Box and performed a CMOS clear with battery removal. And, we got postcodes. I have no idea what the problem was, but it seems to have resolved without any RMAs. Thanks for the support and tips. This has been an absolute roller coaster!
