  1. Same here. I did concede with some cheaper high cf/m red LED case fans for the sake of a higher airflow. I don't need them anymore because of a recent upgrade, but whatever. Lol
  2. I built my personal rig almost a year ago and just now (a few weeks ago) got fed up enough with how cluttered the cable "management" was. My grandpa helped me build it and at the time, I didn't really care how it looked. I was just happy to have something that looked as cool as it did. I had my power supply fan initially installed to pull air from the case and blow it out of the back. When I rearranged the cables, I flipped my PSU over so that the cables were flush with the other side of my case. This gave it a less cluttered look and gave me enough room to install another case fan for kicks and giggles. I made sure my case had a good gap between the floor and itself. As far as I'm aware this only affected the aesthetics of my build. Am I wrong? Will the position of my PSU effect more than aesthetics? Lifetime of the PSU is unchanged? If I'm doing anything wrong, I usually like to find out. Sorry this post is so long.
  3. Thanks to everyone who replied. I personally thought I was right in saying that I wasn't hurting my system (I dust it out regularly enough and maintain it religiously), but as long as we have been friends, when it comes to opinions or subjective issues, I've had to get a ling list of people who agree with me just to get him to admit I'm at least not wrong.
  4. On my personal rig, I have 5 case fans. Only three of these fans really do any good; the other two are purely aesthetic. My friend told me it was actually a bad idea to have "too many". I already know I don't need more than three with the way I've set things up because again, it's just for aesthetics, but is he right or just blowing steam out of his...you know.
  5. I'm working with a Magic Eagle 7-color mouse (I got it used for $10 from a friend), a Magic Wing 3-color keyboard (geek app for ~$20), a used ASUS monitor (from my grandpa; if you'll believe it, he showed me the LTT YouTube channel and helped my build my personal desktop) and my last peripheral is a Kotion G2100 LED gaming headset that I got from a friend for $20.
