I built my personal rig almost a year ago and just now (a few weeks ago) got fed up enough with how cluttered the cable "management" was. My grandpa helped me build it and at the time, I didn't really care how it looked. I was just happy to have something that looked as cool as it did. I had my power supply fan initially installed to pull air from the case and blow it out of the back. When I rearranged the cables, I flipped my PSU over so that the cables were flush with the other side of my case. This gave it a less cluttered look and gave me enough room to install another case fan for kicks and giggles. I made sure my case had a good gap between the floor and itself. As far as I'm aware this only affected the aesthetics of my build. Am I wrong? Will the position of my PSU effect more than aesthetics? Lifetime of the PSU is unchanged? If I'm doing anything wrong, I usually like to find out. Sorry this post is so long.
