  1. Looks pretty supported to me, but thank you for trying to help out. See the edit in the main post for the solution that ended up working for me
  2. I just bought a brand new Ryzen 7 3700x and I was super excited about it. But, it wont even post, I got it to post once, but I don't remember the config exactly. What I have tried with the new cpu that allow the old one to post: Different Bios's, including the most current one (6.0) Made sure of all the connections. Running basic with one stick of ram in either slot, no gpu installed, tried all output ports. Gutting my pc by taking it out of the case and having it set up there, where it currently is. I checked off everything on How to respond to a no post and still nothing Haven't heard anything from the debug speaker either. Might be broken. Tried resetting Cmos, I belleive I was able to, but my mother board dosen't have a CMOS Battery?? Current Specs: ASRock Fatal1ty AB350 Gaming-itx Bios: 6.0 Team Vulcan 8 GB DDR4-3000 Sapphire RX 580 8GB PULSE Ryzen 2600 New: Ryzen 3700x I will send whatever pictures or provide whatever details needed to fix this. If someone can help me fix this, I will pay them, I am desperate. Edit1: I've taken it to a store with some pretty cool guys who are helping me out with the issue. Seems like the motherboard isn't compatible, but it doesn't say that anywhere, at all. Could also be a ram issue. I'll update again when we find the solution. Shout out to Compuzone Edit 2: Turns out, the issue was the ram. Not sure what it was, but with the ram made it so PC refused to boot up. The shop I went to that helped me out tried out everything they could think of, they only thing that reliably worked was upgrading the ram. So, take this as you will, but I will be staying away from cheapo ram like Team Groups ram from now on, still not sure why It gave me so much trouble.
  3. Welp, I'll be marking this as solved. Here is the other forum where we (not at all) figured it out! https://forums.techguy.org/threads/spotty-download-speeds-across-devices.1187848/

  5. So, considering the conversion, does this look right? Idk, I am starting to doubt if this is a real issue. This is so disheartening, I guess my internet just sucks.
  6. How would I able to check on this? This is what I have for internet connection, but it works for my laptop as well.
  7. The speed test nor steam downloads were measured in bits, so I don't think this is really just me being blind to the conversion. Thanks for the interesting info though!
  8. Alright, so. I have been using my main desktop for a while. To connect to the internet, I have a WiFi transmitter downstairs next to my modem and router, and a WiFi receiver next to my desktop. I tested it with a couple different online speed test, and got about 7 Mbps Down (Ping: 19). Now, using the same internet connection setup, on my laptop, I get about 25 Mbps Down (Ping: 18). On my desktop I get a solid 800Kbps down on a steam download, while on my laptop I get about 1.5 Mbps.Is there anyway to make my download speed (Desktop) on steam more closely match the download speed shown on my laptops speed test?DirectX DiagnosticMsInfo32AS-SSD (Read and Write speed. The 4k speeds were agonizingly slow; I gave up.) Starts out like this then slows down to 962kbps (aprox.) sometimes 750kbps Here is the other forum where I posted this.Already Tried:------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Disabling Avast Adding an Exception in Avast Making sure steam had No Limit set as the download speed. Checking download region on steam Went down Steam's list of known programs to cause problems with downloads Possible Solutions:------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Maybe Steam is seeing the read and write speed of my hard drive and then throttling download speed accordingly? Some Issue with Windows 10? (Both Devices are Windows 10, so probably not) Some Issue with a program on my computer?
