  1. I am using the linksys WRT150N router. Firmware version: 1.01.9. Is there any reason why this might be happening? The only significant thing that I have changed in terms of my router is telling it to use a specific channel instead of "auto" because I was getting really crappy wireless LAN speeds when I had it on auto. Every other router setting is default. Also for some reason wireless speeds are fine when downloading through the Play Store. Wired internet speed Wireless internet speed from March 16 Wireless internet speed now Wireless LAN speed is fine Update: I just tried running the speedtest on another phone and download speeds were more around ~14 Mb/s. So I'm assuming my problem is in my custom ROM for my phone. I'm running CM12 nightlies and I will try updating it. I don't have wifi problems on other networks with my phone.
  2. Is there anything of similar design without such an extreme price?
  3. I heard of vram overheating with MSI 280x's in particular. Maybe I had one of those cards and this other guy had liquid nitrogen cooling.
  4. I see that but I was thinking of possible underlying causes, not the direct cause. Could there be anything system specific that would cause it to overheat in my system and not the original owner's? Maybe a motherboard or PSU problem? Or should I just label it an anomaly and move on?I'll know for sure when I get my replacement card in a few days though.
  5. So I bought a card used for mining on eBay and it's broken. Yeah yeah yeah there were bound to be problems but it's still under warranty so whatever; it was almost half the price of a new one. It's getting RMA'd so I'm safe. The original owner of the card said he tested all of the batch of cards he was selling and they worked fine. When I got mine and installed it it displayed graphics fine, got high fps in the games I tested. No problems when just in windows(idling at 35C) but in 3d applications after the card went up to 99% usage the temperatures would rise to 80C instantly and crash the card. This happened every time I tested and the last time the card made a high pitched sound like a really fast whirring sound and the screen went gray with vertical lines every few mm. After that the card would not display anything, no POST, no beeps. Power is on though, lights light up, fans spin. As of now I've put my old card back into my system and everything runs perfectly. I'm just curious as to what on Earth happened.
  6. Well the games I play mostly are CS:GO, Civ V, MK9 and Dota 2, I don't really play many AAA console ports. But the problem is that one of the titles I'm looking forward to is Star Citizen, which is potentially going to be on the highest end of the system requirements scale. Should I look into saving as much money as possible for my graphics card? By the way I have plenty of time to wait for Star Citizen.
  7. So I'm planning on upgrading my full computer over the next year or so and I want to replace certain things first. Namely my graphics card and monitor. In the end I want to be doing 1440p gaming on max settings for most games(and also powering a much smaller monitor on the side). My budget for the card would be somewhere around $600 but I'm very flexible here. I was wondering what card you guys would recommend and if you think there is any technology coming out in the near future that I should wait for instead of buying a current card.
  8. When it says "Instant Savings end 2014-03-02" Does that mean it ends at the start or end of the 3rd? AS of 7:25 Disregard that I'm an idiot.
  9. Well my school just cut funding for computers to a couple of my classes
  10. I like to eat oranges.
  11. Well I pressed the wrong button
