  1. So now I've isolated everything in the house and used a laptop as a tester which got Internet connections all the way and including when I directly plug it in from the hub but as soon as I patch it back into the hub to go out to a different socket what is hub ethernet1>router/modem(bridge mode)>ethernet5(rj45 that is connected to the non Internet receiving pc) the test laptop receives nothing on this end. I don't understand why the signal stops there the modem/router just doesn't send it through to the rj45 on the other side and just slowly blinks?? Please help I'm desperate guys.
  2. I've now run it to a different PC using a different set of cables as well still getting nothing but Unidentified network/No cable plugged in
  3. Now the trouble shooter is saying Lan connection doesn't have a valid ip address And that a networking cable isn't connected or is damaged where I have bought a second cable and plugged that one in it is saying the same thing knowing both work as I tested them on the working connected pc
  4. I have no reconnected the router/modem that is set to be a switch up the first port coming from the room with the working pc is fast blinking where as the 2nd one is slowly blinking sometimes staying a solid green. The pc it's connected to is now saying identifying network but not finishing followed by no network access. The trouble shooting for win7 is saying plug an ether net cable into the pc when it is connected
  5. I would the reason why I'm not running wireless is because there is a fairly long distance between it. In this house there's two PCs one is currently getting Internet because it is connected directly to the modem. The second pc is upstairs and has to be done through the hill hub the problem is that the second pc isn't getting network/Internet I don't have a cable that is the 30m or so to go directly to the 2nd pc the switch led is blinking fast to indicate network gets to the hub but afterwards going out it doesn't send or something? In the photo it's usually connected 1st slot to either a switch I have or a router/modem then back to the the 5th slot
  6. Hey LTT forums first timing young person here I have a network in my home that basically goes Dsl>Modem/Router>desktop switch>rj45 wall ethernet>Hills home hub> and I'm unsure where to go from there I've had it working at one stage but was basically trial and error screwing around not knowing what I'm doing so it's no longer working it used to go hub>router/modem (with it set to act as a switch)>hub>different wall rj45>10 meter cable to PC and work now it doesn't. Currently I've been trying every configuration I can think of bought two switches have tons of ether net cables left and I'm just dumbfounded. When I run the cable to the pc it says there's no cable plugged in when it's connected to a desktop switch and then to the pc the ether net ports led slowly blinks and I'm not sure what to do If you'd like photos I'll provide anything you need.
