  1. I assume 70 is the average an not a max? If its one 890ti at max settings 70 average seems ok. If its 2 in sli then sli profile is borked. We can get angry and complain to the developers and publishers all we want but optimisation is a thing of the past unfortunately. At least before release, its usually always optimise after bit by bit. We , gamers whatever have complained for several years now and well things aint changing. How long before we flip table and walk away? If say 70 is an everage on a single card at max everything then thats ok, but if people cant replicate the benchmarks then thats an issue.
  2. I read steam and ive been to the benchmarks for ranges of cards. Steam is full of low fps complaints but noone has said what settings they use. Benchmarks of max settings with 55 average are within range so its a case of tweaking.
  3. I don't know what to look for, what would be the best search terms. Anything with rack, u1, u anything brings up a ton of nas and servers and cage gets me adapters to fit into the cage. I just dunno what to search for concisely. I guess im not using the right lingo in my searches. Also are there different sizes or are the cages all an industry standard?
  4. apart from drm complaints which are all about having to be online, its the usual low fps complaints. And if you check sites that run benchmarks it seems to fit into place just fine. I cant think of a modern title that at max details max everything will run at wicked fps all the time. It hurts but turn the settings down or change them one by one and find whats tanking it.
  5. if you look at every benchmark so far its all max settings max detail. People just do not want to turn things down.
  6. single 980 on max details at 55fps seems about right for current titles so i would assume turn of dat AA. Have not played it myself yet but not heard till now of anyone with any complaints.
  7. I have just acquired a HP ProLiant DL140 G3. I need assistance in sourcing a cage/rack to fit it into. All i want is the cheapest, nastiest one that i can pick up without uber expense and keep the thing off the floor. Taken from page 30 of this official pdf http://www8.hp.com/h20195/v2/GetPDF.aspx/c04285914.pdf HxWxD 1.70 x 16.78 x 27.75 (inches) or 4.32 x 42.62 x 70.49 (cm) I do not know if it will fit all cages or if there are standards and variances. If anyone can help me source a cage for it (not looking for a 24 rack pls :p) then i would appreciate it. Budget is no problem i just do not have any experience in this area. If it helps im in the UK so ideally would like a UK supplier, would prefer not to import due to extra taxation costs and weight shipping costs. Thankyou.
  8. So I know most of my protocols ports and the likes, however ive recently come across "nerv" port 1222 tcp/udp SNI R&D Network. Ive tried google and apart from this one short line I have served you all here (nerve port 1222 tcp/udp SNI R&D Network) I cannot find any other information. So I guess my question is what is nerv? It appears its also meant to be spelt without an e at the end. If any one knows what this is thanks in advance, but im sure ill thank you again
  9. K, never mind found the link... eventually Does the forum not have a function to search the forum? If there is its not instantly obvious.
  10. Im also one of the few who seems to actually like carbon fibre designs. Sure it requires a specific look to your overall system to fit but carbon fibre can work in even a simple mostly black scheme. Pretty much all of the pcb's and metals are black inside my case. Maybe carbon also works with a black and silver scheme, im not sure.
  11. Boot SSD Intel 520 Series 240GB Host Writes 5376 GB (5.250 TB) / NAND Writes 7003 GB (6.839 TB) Power on Hours 4053 (168 days 21 hours) Storage 1 Agility 3 120GB SSD Host Writes 1229 GB (1.200 TB) Power on Hours 3467 (144 days 11 hours) My other SSD is not plugged in at present so unsure. My HDD does not track how much data but is at 8469 hours or 252 days 21 hours
  12. Different cables used, tried a different screen or monitor. If it worked fine then it appears there is a problem with this particular monitor or the HDMI. My DVI port died on one of my other monitors so it still works but only on HDMI as that's its only other available connection option. If it has (your monitor) DVI try that port. If it works then the HDMI port on the monitor is faulty but if it still looks like this then the monitor itself is a gonner.
  13. If the install was virused or had some kind of hidden malware you may use antivirus products to find and clear it but to be honest if you have a windows disk go find all your drivers for the system and just do a fresh install. That way you have no niggling concerns in the back of your head that something may still be hiding that has yet to be detected.
  14. Due to the high Write speeds of an SSD I would love to use one to record higher quality footage, however that is also my biggest concern is durability. Writing up to 300GB of data in a session possibly 2 or 3 times a week concerns me when thinking about doing it to a SSD. Only alternative would be RAID HDD simply for the Write speed required for 2.5K at the quality I would like. But to answer your question if using it as a laptop / notebooks main drive. If all your doing is web browsing watching youtube or Netflix/hulu and doing office files work then a SSD should have no issues in terms of durability really.
  15. I have added the Random Access READ test to the images at the beginning. Now I dunno how it should look but even so to me it looks completely fudged Those access times tho, 3, 4 and even 700 range but then that one 800+, just wow this drives a gonner for sure. Any additional info, support or general theories would be much appreciated. The bigger the consensus on this the more confident I will be to just throw this drive on the bin (or however law or regional recycling legislation requires me to do so).
