The Kat things looks cool, but i wonder if it would actually be that useful.

For the headset i would say go for the quest 3. It is light, it has sick mixed reality mode and tetherless.

As for playing PC games on quest, it is actually very easy. You can use steam link or oculus link to stream games from your pc to heasdet.

Sorry for the delay in this, I got stoned and started listening to Lo-Fi and lost track of time. That is, we are over, yes there is a mix up with the end date so a show of goodwill we are reducing the min days requirement down to 19, so no one misses out due to my mistake

As GOT said, Amazon spot instances might be the cheapest. But, iirc Google's gCloud offers spot instances with 300USD free credit for first time users (will require a credit card, and to use gpu instances you will need to upgrade to a pay as you go account where you can still use the credit, but you will run the risk of being charged for it if you go over). Microsoft Azure also offers 200USD credit for first time users (credit card also required), but they tend to have some hidden fees that might eat up at your credit.

Honestly, Amazon spot-type services are the cheapest but interruptable and aren't guaranteed. If demand increases your instance get's paused to allow for te higher paying customers do to their thing. Many cloud providers have similar products to help manage demand
