  1. Thanks for the speedy response! That is great information and will help me solve this issue I am having. I guess should explain the complete issue: Have MSI Z170a M7 motherboard https://us.msi.com/Motherboard/Z170A-GAMING-M7.html#hero-overview Put a Samsung 950 Pro in it. Ordered a cover (already a questionable concept due to heat) http://www.coldzero.eu/m2-covers/2590-m2-cover-msi-dragon.html Can't use original screw because off the thickness of the cover. The screw that came with it is too large for the stand-off the motherboard came with. The threads seem to match the stand-off itself but not the screw that goes into the stand-off. So now I am debating finding a new screw for the stand-off or just re-tapping the stand-off to fit the screw that I have.
  2. Does any one know of an industry standards relating to the mounting screw for M.2 drives? Such as thread pitch or length. Information with a source greatly appreciated!
