Hey guys, I'm gonna buy new gaming PC soon and I would like some input or recommendations. This build will be used 100% for gaming at 1080p 60fps, I'm not going to upgrade monitor now. Budget is 900€, I will be reusing my storage drives, so they are not included. Basicly, I need recommendation for good motherboard and case with good airflow and PSU. I dont need RGB and other fancy stuff, case will be hidden under my desk, just good build quality case with good airflow. I chose RTX 2060, because RX5700 is too expensive where I live, I can get RTX2060 for 320€ and cheapest RX 5700 is 390€ and it is with stock cooler. And 2060 super a 5700 xt are beyond my budget. I also think I picked overkill PSU, but I wanna go with at least 80+Gold. So, this is what I came up with so far: PCPartPicker Part List Type Item Price CPU AMD Ryzen 5 3600 3.6 GHz 6-Core Processor €190.90 Memory Corsair Vengeance LPX 16 GB (2 x 8 GB) DDR4-3200 Memory €85.90 Video Card Asus GeForce RTX 2060 6 GB DUAL EVO OC Video Card €328.90 Power Supply Corsair RMx (2018) 650 W 80+ Gold Certified Fully Modular ATX Power Supply €100.90 Prices include shipping, taxes, rebates, and discounts Total €706.60 Generated by PCPartPicker 2020-05-02 12:47 CEST+0200 Also, 900€ budget is absolut maximum, I can put saved money towards something else. Thanks for your time and help.

well, I don't mind the pump being loud, as long it's not too loud. What about the diy kit, worth even looking at it? Heard that custom loops are better in cooling.
-
thanks, I will read through that later as it's quite late. i was discussing this issue with some people, and they said they would go with liquid cooler with this high overclock. That's why I'm unsure right now. tbh I would like the noctua cooler, it looks really sexy and massive xD, but if it's not gonna cool good I have to change.

My plan is to overclock to 4,4-4,5, but problem is, cryorig isn't available in my country. That's why I went originaly with nh-d15. https://www.alza.sk/EN/ this is shop I'm going to buy from. They have quite poor supply and they are overprices a bit, but I don't have many other choices :). (I could buy from other country, but it's not worth the nerves if something comes broken.)

Hey guys, not that long ago I needed your help and I need it again. Right now I have dilema, which cpu cooler to buy. Originaly I wanted Noctua NH-D15, but I'm worried little bit about its performance, because during summer here is constantly over 36°C. I know it is one of the best air cooler out there (if not the best), but I want to overclock my CPU to 4,5GHz (from 3,5, i5-6600K (I had to reconsider basicly whole build, because things are little bit messy right now and can't invest more money, but that's fine)). So my 2 other options are NZXT Kraken x61 and Magicool DIY Liquid Cooling System. Which of these 2 would you recomend me? Here are links on these 2 coolers. It is e-shop I am going to to buy components from. I found out, they have english version of their web page, it is strange in my country, usually they have only SVK xD. https://www.alza.sk/EN/nzxt-kraken-x61-d2298306.htm?o=1 - kraken x61 https://www.alza.sk/EN/magicool-diy-liquid-cooling-system-dual-120-d4121918.htm?o=1 - magicool diy kit I don't have any experiences with custom loop, but I think it won't be big problem. thanks a lot, any help will be appreciated

well, thank you, never thought about gtx 1080, definitely consider this
-
that looks really good, thanks, I will look more deeply into it one problem is, that g.skill isn't available in my country, but that is fine, i pick similiar kingston or crucial memory
-
well I really like that case. On HDD only games, music and school stuff. I read, that wd black are ideal for performance, so I picked for this build wd black. But if I can save bit of money with wd blue and have similiar performance, I'm in.

then u must know alza well, originaly I had this exact cpu cooler, but I was told, that it is not enough, ten I chose Noctua. I am considering Scythe mugen max also. So I guess I'm going to see som benchmarks. I like that screen, but with 1070 I want play 1440p. But then again, should I buy entry level 1440p monitor or stick with this 1080p and buy later 1440p g-sync monitor.

other prices are the same, max 10€ difference, double checked it

well, as I said, in my country is that EVGA PSU literally for half the price. It costs 92€, I dont know why german amazon has much higher price.

Hi, I decided to buy new gaming PC, because my old laptop can't handle games I want to play. 1. Budget & Location I am from Slovakia, so currency is €. Budget is around 1500€. 2. Aim Other than school stuff this PC is going to be used strictly for gaming. I play mostly WoW (Legion incoming, yay) , LoL, because my laptop can't handle modern games, but with new PC i would like to play new games as well. That's why I want gtx 1070. 3. Monitors I don't need monitor, I have one 24" 1080p 144Hz Asus monitor, but I was thinking maybe I should upgrade to some entry level 1440p monitor. this is what i have right now And I would really appreciate if you could recomend me some entry level 1440p for 300€ max, otherwise I stick with my current monitor. 4. Peripherals No peripherals needed, also I don't need windows. 5. Why are you upgrading? Well, since my PC is not up to date and I can't play games I want, there is no other choice. Also I have laptop, because I needed it, but now I want classic desktop pc. Here is pcpartpicker list: PCPartPicker part list / Price breakdown by merchant CPU: Intel Core i5-6600K 3.5GHz Quad-Core Processor (€239.34 @ Amazon Deutschland) CPU Cooler: Noctua NH-D15 82.5 CFM CPU Cooler (€87.99 @ Aquatuning) Motherboard: Asus Z170 PRO GAMING ATX LGA1151 Motherboard (€147.85 @ Mindfactory) Memory: Kingston Savage 8GB (1 x 8GB) DDR4-3000 Memory (€58.19 @ Mindfactory) Storage: Samsung 850 EVO-Series 250GB 2.5" Solid State Drive (€97.93 @ Mindfactory) Storage: Western Digital BLACK SERIES 1TB 3.5" 7200RPM Internal Hard Drive (€83.92 @ Mindfactory) Video Card: EVGA GeForce GTX 1070 8GB FTW Gaming ACX 3.0 Video Card (€529.00 @ Amazon Deutschland) Case: NZXT Source 530 ATX Full Tower Case (€89.90 @ Caseking) Power Supply: EVGA SuperNOVA G2 550W 80+ Gold Certified Fully-Modular ATX Power Supply (€183.59 @ Amazon Deutschland) ^^For unknown reason, this PSU has on german amazon too high price. In my country EVGA 550 G2 is available for €92.89, so I adjusted total price. Total: €1427.01 (1517,71-183,59+92,89) Prices include shipping, taxes, and discounts when available Generated by PCPartPicker 2016-08-13 21:05 CEST+0200 So I have few questions. 1. Will my cpu bottleneck gpu on current monitor? 2. Do I have to upgrade to 1440p or my monitor is fine even I will have gtx 1070? 3. Can you tweak it somehow and replace i5-6600k with i7-6700k and still be on budget 1500€? Other thank GTX 1070 I don't have any other special recomendations. I am willing to give up SSD and buy it later if I have to. 4. Do I need liquid cooler or I can buy NH-D15? If i have i5-6600K, I will overclock it to 4.3-4.5GHz and if i have i7-6700k, I will overclock it to somwhere 4.7-4.8GHz. Thank you very much for reading this post and I am open to any suggestions that might help.
