Once they do cave, it sets a precedent that they will do it again. So hopefully Apple holds strong.

The 2016 and 2017 MacBook Pros already have arm coprocessors and nothing bad has happened

Eh, I'd dispute that.  FCP is a beast when it comes to exporting videos at the least.  We also have to see how well FCP is optimized for the new Xeons and Vega graphics compared to Premiere.  Apple has that rare advantage of knowing exactly what hardware is coming down the pipeline and fine-tuning its pro software to run well out of the gate.  (Apple has worked with Adobe in advance on previous releases, but it's clear Apple still has an edge).

Only CPUs that feature AMT, which is a lot of them. Basically anything on the desktop/consumer socket/chipset line of products which includes the low end Xeons, the bigger chips that Intel makes don't feature AMT as they use IPMI instead which is on the motherboard and not in the CPU.

Final Cut Pro X isn't fast just because of quick sync, it also uses the Metal 2 API.

ALSO: Final Cut Pro X is still faster even on Macs that don't support quick sync

What I am saying is, this cant be worse than what's already there today. It's not like Apple is opening a new security whole, but rather the opposite. Of course, nothing really is hackproof, but atleast from the tweets, it looks like boots will be much secure

I really doubt that. If anything it makes the Mac much more secure.

6 usually, but when I’m researching something for a paper or go down a rabbit hole on Wikipedia at 1:00am, dozens. I’ll start at something like the movie Die Hard and end up at a page on advanced nuclear physics 3 hours later. Then I realize I have to be up for work in 2 hours, so I just stay up and drink a pot of black coffee while I watch the sun rise.

Ive had note 5 and s4 for last 2-4 years and I really wanna try iOS, I tried the iphone X today and i instantly loved it while really not liking the v30 or pixel 2 xl and i really dislike the galaxies infinity displays. The only thing I will miss are google now cards and a calendar widget and data usage widget(idk how to find that on iOS and if its faster or not). If you could be a little more in depth with your experience so far, I would appreciate it.

Thought I'd show my new build and ask around to see what people think, if my cables could be tider, etc.

I did have a few issues with building it, first off I snapped a USB 3 pin (still works) and the front IO pins are slightly out of line, but plug in just fine. The biggest issue is temperatures, I'm seeing as much as 85C on the CPU.

Anyway, what do you guys think?

    Here's the spec list:

    CPU: i7 8700K @ 5GHZ
    GPU: Asus ROG Strix 1080Ti
    Motherboard: Maximus X Hero
    RAM: Trident Z RGB 3200MHZ
    CPU Cooler: NZXT Kraken X62
    PSU: Corsair HX750i
    SSD: Samsung 850 Evo 500GB M.2
    HDD: WD Blue 1TB
Case: Phanteks Enthoo Evolv ATX Glass
LED Strips: Phanteks 400mm RGB LED Magnetic Strips
RGB Syncing:  Asus Aura; syncs the GPU, RAM, LED strips, Motherboard and Case
Fans: 3x Be Quiet! Silent Wings 3 140 (Intake, two in the front 1 in the back)
3x Be Quiet! Pure Wings 2 120 (Exhaust, 3 at the top)
