  1. Thank you for your help, and no I was not planing on dual cards. Cooling isn't a big problem, but my motherboard can heat up pretty fast and you probably all ready know AMD CPUs run HOT.
  2. Ok are the single fan 1060s any good? are there any known problums with thermals My motherbourd can get very hot and heat up the case very fast
  3. thanks for the quick resonces i agree GTX 1060 should do fine i just needed a little push
  4. I have a little bit of a problem. I hate asking for help but I have thought about this since the GTX 980 TI came out. I would like to upgrade my computer's Graphics card (which is a r7 250) but I only have 700$ and am about to go into my first year of High school. I have been told by multiple people that I will want to spend money on party's and hanging out with friends, I believe this to be highly unlikely because i would rather work on my computer and work on programming more then "hanging out" but have to think about saving a little bit of money for games and random stuff. Now that you know about me my problem is GTX 1070, GTX 1060, or AMD RX 480? My specs are CPU: AMD FX-8350 Motherboard: MSI 970 krait edition RAM: Corsair vengeance 1x8gb stick Graphics card: AMD R7 250 PSU: EVGA 500w Bronze Hard Drive: 5TB WD Black SSD: 128gb Patriot Case: Corsair 300r Monitor: ViewSonic 1080p 2ms 60hz I want to be able to max out all games 60fps, right now i have trouble trying to play Fallout 4. I don't know why the GTX 1060 sounds like such a bad idea but I seem to be very 50 50 on that.
  5. I don't know if this is possible but I would look to tap off of the wire before it reaches the router and cut the cable add a splitter and put your own router modem combo on it and set the ssid and password to something she wouldn't notice. Maybe even turn it off during the day. I don't know if that would even work someone correct me if I am wrong.
  6. Cool like the giveaways my setup: A Microsoft Mouse (from 2001) A razor DeathAdder (I like this one more) A really old gigabyte keyboard I think from 2008
  7. What is funny with this statement is AMD could have patented the 64bit CPU witch would mean all CPU progress would have probably halted at the FX chip. Interesting situation that would have stopped the PC master race in its tracks. And Intel would be done for.
  8. If you want to learn to fix software problems try messing with Windows 7, Look up god mode for Windows 7 or 10 and go one by one and mess with every setting on it. Kail Linux is a good place to start learning to hack. And watching Linus never hurts.
  9. I'm far more worried about your cpu, with a big new gpu you might start to see some bottlenecks. My recommendation is to sell your cpu, motherboard and video card for a i5 cpu and Intel motherboard with a Gtx 1060 or rx 480. This will allow you to upgrade your gpu at least three times before running into another possible bottleneck. This may be a bit expensive but will definitely be worth it in the long run. The 480 problems you mentioned seem to be on older motherboards.
