  1. Right. The newest Hyperion Fury is the one you want. The super angular lookin beast
  2. I swap between claw and flat grips and the G402 Hyperion Fury is by far the most comfortable mouse I've used for both grips and many purposes (gaming, great surprisingly for 3D modeling, and whatever else). Plus, blue lights for your aesthetic.
  3. So I'm looking to get a 2016 Razer Blade (Yes, I'm aware of the hatred this forum has for the blade. I don't care, I've used one and love it. Thermals and sound didn't come off as a huge problem for my workload and I can't be near an overtly "gamery" looking laptop, so no, I'm not really open to alternatives). Anyway, so sorry for rant, I mean no disrespect, but I've seen 27 million posts trying to convince people not to buy Razer and figured I'd save you all the trouble. Anyway, my question is this: for extended trips without access to power, is it possible to charge the Blade 2016 from a USB-C or other power bank and if so, which one? There's very little information available online and some searches didn't really give me a conclusive answer. If it must be charged while not in use, that's fine. I'm totally good with closing the lid and sticking it in my backpack to charge, I just would love to know if this is possible so I can come up with a travel bag setup with a single power cord and several power banks for DSLR/video cameras/phones/laptop/perephirals and get that done around the same time I get the machine. Thanks a bunch guys!
  4. Thanks for the input! XPS 15 is indeed looking like the best option, as much as I'm SO unwilling to get a dell because frankly my only experience with dells is just totally junk machines that're absolutely worthless, but I'll definitely put it up there on the list as it seems very highly recommended and I can see from your stats you know what you're talking about
  5. Thanks for the response! Only thing I'm a little shaky on for that one and ones like it are the >1 in thickness and the >5 pound weight, which ends up being a lot (from toting a macbook for 3 years, and not a new one )
  6. Hiya all! So, I'm in the market for a new laptop around the $1500 mark. I have a gaming desktop already so I'm mostly looking for something that can at a minimum run Autodesk Maya well, play QHD or higher video, and is just really effective for all around productivity. Being able to play games would be a plus, but I primarily play Warframe and games of that nature that aren't too terribly intensive. The main things specwise that I'm worried about are battery life, portability, and not looking like a generic slice or ugly brick (looking at you, clevo). i7 and a decent GPU (970/60M or 1060 if it can cool well) are musts because of the CAD and heavy art workflows I go through for modeling and video rendering. I've been looking at Razer because let's face it, they look amazing, but the heat problems while gaming (which I'm not sure whether they would transfer over to modeling/drawing or not) and battery life seem to be an issue for a lot of people. MSI makes it hard to tell on their site whether the laptops are thick or thin, which makes me a little dubious. I'm of course still open to both of those possibilities if y'all think they'd work for me Anyway, any suggestions are welcome! Thanks in advance!
  7. Right now I'm using a 2GB Sapphire 6970. Obviously it's an older card, which means it plays stuff, but it doesn't really play it the way I want to play it. Think 30FPS mid-level graphics. Hence, I'd love an upgrade.
