I was just mainly concerned why CL reports the speed differently than my mobo. Thanks for the answers gents, much appreciated.

the fans are plugged into a splitter that comes out of the cooling block on the cpu. there's only one cable that goes into the cpu fan header

parts list MB: Asus Maximus VI Hero CPU: i7 4790k GPU: MSI GTX 970 CPU Cooler: h100i v2 I recently added this cooler to my build and am running into kind of a weird problem. Using the Corsair Link software I was able to modify the fan speeds and such of the cooler, but after using it I realized that my motherboard was only picking up on one of the fan speeds (I'll post a picture to show what I mean). I've tried googling the problem I have to no avail. No forum or anything I found has anything that's similar posted.
