  1. You don't need the "Filter Articles" and "Get Link URLs from Articles" blocks if you just use the homepage link (https://apod.nasa.gov/apod/astropix.html) in the first block. Just a quick efficiency fix. Also, I suggest you add a "Filter URLs" block underneath the "Get Image URLs.." block because mine kept downloading a cat photo and the APOD, setting my desktop to the cat photo.. Cool thread, it's awesome to see a new APOD photo daily.
  2. the i5 has 2.7 GHz. Which, as far as I'm concerned, is not better. That's worse than my iMac's i5.. lel Also, look at this link: http://cpuboss.com/cpus/Intel-Core-i5-6400-vs-Intel-Core-i3-6100 Oh.. Would this SSD work: http://pcpartpicker.com/product/ZvLypg/kingston-internal-hard-drive-shfs37a120g or should I go for 240/50? Aight aight, Ill change PSU Why are you so on me about changing the mobo and monitor? I'd like 4 RAM slots (dual channel RAM ftw), and I think my monitor is fine lol
  3. Im torn on if I actually need the CPU... The i3 is better in almost every way except for the amount of cores. And the jump in money is so much.. That motherboard costs $99 after rebates and is worse than the current.. no ty lol Why is kingston "crap"? It seemed fine, with all the positive reviews.. But perhaps I could use 240/50 GB I kinda wanna stick with 2TB, I'm horrible with space management and its not much more. Thanks for the GPU suggestion, I'm using that My case is cheaper and better than the tesseract lol Uh.. Pretty sure I don't need the fancy "80+ Gold". As far as I know, that doesn't really change much lol That monitor is $140.. Your prices are off.. I mean, thanks for the suggestions, but quite a few of them were kinda.. meh.
  4. Yup. I have the same goal in mind: Upgradability. Anyways, I can't find any other motherboards (that have an advantage) with 4 RAM slots for the under $80 price range. I found 2 other motherboards, but they had the exact same specs and only cost a bit more.
  5. Yea alright, I think I'll take off the cooler. Ill look around a bit for a different motherboard. Thanks for the feedback
  6. Wow. I've been planning for a bit over a month, although it will probably be longer until I buy it as I don't know when I'm getting this much available money. I think I have most of the basics on the hardware, and I'm starting to understand putting it together. The one thing I'm really shady on is GTX vs. Radeon GPU comparison, and AMD vs. Intel CPU comparison. (e.g. which ones are equal and which ones are easily outmatched by another)
  7. I can't understand why you chose that motherboard over mine.. Just because it says "gaming" doesn't make it that much better as far as I know. I'd like to stick with a 120 GB SSD, it's only $3 more than your 64 GB one I'd also like to stick with 2 TB HDD, I filled up my 1 TB mac fast. 8GB of VRAM is overkill for what I want to do... And a 480 with only 4 has no price.. Unless I can get a price on that, no, sorry. The case is worse than mine.. wat I kinda want the mouse on my combo wait so why did you suggest this Naw, monitor does not. rip so... keep it?
  8. Budget and Currency: Aprox. $750 budget, US Aim The aim of this system is to keep up with recent-ish games at medium to low settings in 1080p at 60 FPS. The most intensive games I'd like to play are Just Cause 3, ARK: Survival Evolved, Postal 2, and Overwatch. I'm not aiming for super good graphics, I just want the game to look okay with 60 FPS. Monitors I plan on running on one monitor. I might want to upgrade in 1 or 2 years, but that would most likely include the video card as well. Peripherals I need a monitor and a keyboard, which are both added to my list. I currently have a Razer Kraken headset and a logitech mouse. I do not need a WiFi adapter. Why am I upgrading? Well, I'm currently stuck with an old 2011 iMac.. Although this can handle some basic games, I'd love to upgrade to a Windows machine so I can play a few more games and get a bit higher FPS.
