  1. Man, I want that rig so bad! I had to fix something on my Hackintosh, and accidentally rebooted into Windows... Something I've not done on my main machine since 2016. I let it update. Later that evening... Basically, I find it inconvenient to reboot into another OS. I'd really rather not! Parallels has a stupid subscription license, a license format I absolutely refuse to support. Charge me up front, or screw off. I'm looking to do upgrades in the next year, and quite frankly a VM based setup seems like a great idea. I'm also hoping LTT does a full build guide, and possibly alternate methods of multi OS setups, and the pros and cons of each method.
  2. So, I was wondering what that benchmark/screensaver/demo at 0:30 is? I ask, because that's an excellent render of a Sony Sobax calculator (That chassis suggests an ICC 400, 500, or 600 series). I restored an ICC-600W back in 2013, and can honestly say, with select a few exceptions, they do a very good job getting the little details correct. The Nixie tubes, the transformer, capacitor, and resistor in each driver circuit, the left two neon lamps, the chassis, even the decimal slider lever and the backplane PCB behind the nixie driver PCB are seriously mostly accurate! it ain't perfect. I mean, it's clearly not 100% accurate. Honestly though, that render was obviously created by someone who knew what they were recreating. Close enough definitely counts for this one! I'd love to know what that render is from, and where I can get it.
  3. I have an ATI (yeah, old enough to still say ATI... not AMD) Radeon HD 5770 installed on my computer. I have a Quad 3.5 GHz i7 (3770K) and 32 GB RAM installed on a Gigabyte GA-Z77X-UP5 TH, inside a case made from a 1939 Philco radio cabinet! It even has nixie tubes! But a 7 year old GPU... I guess I was just sticking with the vintage theme, or something... Probably or something.
