Self-Built system over 5 years old, Specs in signature are still accurate except the RAM is now 20GB. nothing fancy, barebones as it gets. Following devices are missing drivers for some reason. And for some reason i have a repeating device connect/disconnect that took a little while to start giving actual errors. device cannot be located, all USB devices and audio devices are verified functioning and windows will not tell me what device it in when it does get around to displaying an error. Tried using USBDView, no dice, not sure what to make of it.

TL;DR - DISM, SFC, Windows Update, Trusted Installer, etc were all not functioning for some reason (OS had been on 3 different hardware configurations, one of them was a 12 year old laptop sooo) Reinstalled windows using a partition on the same drive method, now im trying to merge volumes and deactivate the old install, problem with that is i dont want to merge the partitions incase it merges some of the old OS files (build 18xx vs 20HR) or possibly corrupts something, is AOMEI safe to do this with? i see it recommended everywhere.

Where does one buy zipties. i have never seen a store selling them yet all my life i have always had them SOMEWHERE. in my walls(Literally. did renovations recently and found 4) Drawers, etc. /S Home depot lowes etc

Whichever method you prefer.

Go to AMD's website and get the older drivers from their download center. then go into Devices and drivers in windows, rightclick the device and uninstall drivers. then install the old drivers.

I had 3 120Mm fans but my case only has one 120Mm slot up front and a 90Mm in the back. So i put a 120mm in the back held in by one screw. the rear IO Seems to be tall enough to hold it snug so one screw keeps it from falling. god help me.

Yeah your Harddisk is a few thousand levels of done for. crashes seem to be related to drive if anything. replace it then rerun everything. i highly doubt its the new card. oh id also check drivers.

A day or two later the fans magically work again. now i have a 120MM on a 90Mm exhaust fan area. Idles a whopping 2 - 4 Degrees colder.

it was from a Fiber to copper FIOS install. its an old(REALLY Damn old) MI424WR

KK. just dont run anything too intensive on the hardware until its all checked.

check INSIDE the connectors for corrosion check your CPU Is not the issue run memtest check your harddisks with Speedfan S.M.A.R.T tests run the fuzzy donut of death on your GPU etc etc.

option to get a bluescreen? u wot m8.

System should only draw upwards of 400W. i would check for component damage before doing anything intensive on the box.

There is the freezer method.. Lol but seriously have you tried putting the drive into a normal PC via SATA?

Aerocool isnt bad per say. you need more Wattage probably. without the rest of the specs we may never know.

I (had) 2 120mm Kingwin case fans hooked up to the Molex plug on my PC. the one was used to replace the other one after it failed 2 days after i built my PC. and the replacement fan ALSO Failed after 2 days. is kingwin a bad manufacturer or are the fans getting overamped/overvolted some how. and is there a way to make them work again? EVGA 400W Rest of specs are in sig.

i already know basic networking (Port forwarding ect) i just want to be able to access the server from anywhere. which is why i wanted to set a static IP.
