  1. Looking to build a PC for under $1000. My aim is to play games at 1080p 60Hz, with the ability to multiask in other roles. I had already purchased the PSU as I saw a good deal on it. Definitely hoping there are some Black Friday/Cyber Monday deals to take advantage of. Here is what I came up with looking at the WD Student store and Newegg. PCPartPicker part list / Price breakdown by merchant CPU: AMD - Ryzen 5 1600 3.2GHz 6-Core Processor ($200.98 @ Newegg) Motherboard: MSI - B350 TOMAHAWK ATX AM4 Motherboard ($81.98 @ Newegg) Memory: G.Skill - Ripjaws V Series 16GB (2 x 8GB) DDR4-3200 Memory ($159.99 @ Newegg) Storage: Western Digital - Blue 250GB 2.5" Solid State Drive ($77.06) Storage: Western Digital - Caviar Blue 1TB 3.5" 7200RPM Internal Hard Drive ($45.02) Video Card: Zotac - GeForce GTX 1060 6GB 6GB Mini Video Card ($239.99 @ Newegg) Case: Cooler Master - MasterBox Lite 5 ATX Mid Tower Case ($36.98 @ Newegg) Power Supply: SeaSonic - 520W 80+ Bronze Certified Fully-Modular ATX Power Supply (Purchased For $34.99) Operating System: Microsoft - Windows 10 Home OEM 64-bit ($33.65) Total: $910.64 Prices include shipping, taxes, and discounts when available Generated by PCPartPicker 2017-11-10 13:27 EST-0500
  2. Which PSU the Seasonic 520W/ CX650 (2017) / or another one?
  3. Thanks for the builds you came up with. Lots of options here gonna take some time here to go through em, plus the others posted.
  4. Gotcha I was one the fence between the X370 and B350. Good thing I'm here for feedback, before buying stuff like a dummy.
  5. Any idea why it is that the 1600X doesn't come with a cooler? Seems weird but I guess thats an extraneous question. Totally down to save some cash.
  6. All good, plus i didn't think we could post links.
  7. Derp think I left out some words there. For sure I know they can all be OC'd .
  8. Hello fellow Guardian, yeah the GTX 1050 Ti was there since i was seeing 1060s for crazy prices. Looking forward to knocking Gary off his throne.
  9. Link added but here ya go. https://pcpartpicker.com/list/csGPBP I read that some 1600's can't be overclocked and that 1600X's have a better shot for that.
  10. Faster RAM does sound good. So we can post links to that here?
  11. Hello all 1st time posting in the forums, so here's hoping I do it right. I am looking to build a PC that can run most current games, as close to 1080P 60 FPS as possible without ending up broke. Mostly I want it to be able to run Destiny 2, when it comes out on PC, though they haven't posted the required/recommended PC specs for it. Through lots of reading on many sites and youtube vids I have come to the current build. Also I do wanna try and set a budget of ~$1000 USD. I have chosen a Ryzen 5 1600X since it would come in handy for other applications such as streaming, coding, and etc. The PSU has a rebate that puts its at $35 on Newegg. There is another PSU a CX650 (2017) for $38 with rebate as well though that one is not modular. Im perfectly fine on waiting to buy certain components for the PC since right now the GPU's are hoarded by crypto-currency miners, thus why I chose a GTX 1050 Ti. I think RAM prices are also up? Saw history graphs of some 16GB-2133+ kits for $60 on pcpartpicker. Im not sure yet, if it may be possible to overclock the CPU using a CM Hyper T4, so I subed it with a CM 212 Evo for cooling. It does suck I have to get a $7 AM4 bracket for the 212 Evo though. The motherboard has a bundle deal on microcenter for $99 when purchased with a Ryzen CPU. The case is more of an investment for when the hardware is phased out X years from now, at least I hope. Aside from that all the other items are either free shipping or tax free in my state.
