  1. As the title says my system can't detect my soundcard, which is wierd cause it worked previously.. So basically the problem started after i unplugged a fan from my computer, which was connected to a molex cable with a mini-molex at the other end connected to the soundcard (Asus Xonar D2X) i unplugged the molex cable, but put it back in again (still connected to the soundcard). Suddenly then i turned on my PC the card was not found in playback units neither in device manager, also other than putting the molex in and out of my PSU, i did install a midiboard which came with the D2X, other than that i havent done anything to affect the system. Also if the problem is that im missing a driver to the soundcard, i can't seem to download it from the Asus Support site, it just tells me the download link DNS-address doesnt exist. (I have not yet contacted Asus as i was hoping to get help quicker here and Asus require me to write in alot of information just for a e-mail to be sent) And just in mind.. i really dont want to put the card in some other PCE slot, it has allways worked in its current location until now. More information: Yes the soundcard has power, all of it's lights are on. Unplugging the midiboard doesn't seem to help at all. Yes i do not have a driver for it, writing this i've come to realise that's msut likely the problem, but as stated above the download link for the driver doesn't exist, and plugging in a cd-rom reader just to install an outdated cd driver doesn't seem viable. This is my first time at the LinusTechTips Forum and i hope that i dont disturbe it somehow and that i can get help ASAP.
