  1. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=9SIA7TD4602092 Checkout this Anidees AI-Crystal case... new entry in the market but looks cool....and very affordable...I am actually considering this case.. but only if it is quiet..
  2. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=9SIA7TD4602092 Are tempered glass cases quiet? anyone have any experience with this case and its fans?
  3. Hey guys... so I am building a gaming pc after a long time... and have bought all the components except the case. I need your help choosing a case. I am not so much for looks/color leds/etc... i want efficiency over looks... I would admire the case/build for a week or 2... and then it would all be about OC and FPS My main criteria is good airflow to keep components cooler and low noise level..rest all is just a bonus(leds and tempered glass if any)... My pc build is like this..http://pcpartpicker.com/list/7pcFGf My budget is around $100... but I will go up a little if I can get more noise reduction. Please suggest some cases...
  4. Seems like the 6700k is the best option for the price. If I have to pay additional $100 or more just a 5% boost...it may not be worth it. However, as you pointed... the leaked information may not be complete... so I could wait a bit... but again, I'd be paying premium price for a new CPU. My MSI board is still in the box. Never opened it since bought from the store. However, FRYS employee opened the board to check for any damage..and she signed the box. The socket protector was removed and then put back during her inspection. You don't recommend the stock fans that come with the Corsair H100i v2? Case is still up in the air for me. I dont value looks or colors... no one is going to see the PC but me...and i will only admire my build for a few days and then its all gaming/fun as usual. However I want the system to be quiet and have good airflow to reduce heat. Makes sense.... I will prolly do the DD4-2400 then.... Is the G.Skill brand alright? or should I consider Corsair Vengeance? I am going to go with a lower Watt PSU... no point spending extra money for something I will never use. I just want reliability and modular design. Don't want a clutter of cables if im not using it. Lastly...my inexperience choosing the right video card. I want a GTX 1070... just wanna make sure I pick a good one...dont want to end up wishing I had spent 20-30 dollars more to get a different brand which is more quiet or runs cooler, etc...
  5. Thank you for your input.... I will begin researching the GPU. I definitely wanna keep the system as cool as possible.. don't want any fans humming loud. Didn't realize the importance of exhaust vs intake...so I will have to plan this out efficiently. Also I might go lower Watt on the PSU to reduce costs....like a 650 or 750.. Couple more questions. 1. Should I wait for the i7 7700k? I wanna get my pc built by Sept end or early Oct....so not in a real rush. Not sure how much of a boost the 7th gen i7 is over 6700k... or how much price increase. Will the 7th gen i7s be out by then? 2. IF i decide to go for i7 7700k...will the MSI motherboard still work? or will that be an issue? I have 7 more days to return the motherboard if it won't work. 3. Any recommendations for case fans?
  6. Hey guys...My first post here... decided to switch back to pc gaming from console... and i wanna build a good pc that will last me a few years...I haven't built a pc in over 15 years now...so its kind of all new to me again. My main interest is games like GTA5/Assassin's Creed/Diablo III/etc... I have an old 24" LCD (1080p@60Hz) which I will be using for now...till I find the need to upgrade my monitor. Also want to use the PC for Solidworks, Photoshop/After Effects. My current wishlist is http://pcpartpicker.com/list/Q9mdXH ... I have already purchased a couple pieces but can exchange it if you think i can get better... CPU = Intel Core i7-6700K 4.0GHz Quad-Core Processor Will be buying this on eBay for $310.00. I am somewhat firm that I want an i7 processor. CPU Cooler = Corsair H100i v2 70.7 CFM Liquid CPU Cooler Buying this from a friend for $60.00. I definitely wanna go AIO liquid cooling. Would've prefered a cooler with 280 radiator, but this one is cheap. Motherboard = MSI Z170A GAMING M7 ATX LGA1151 Motherboard Already purchased this from FRYS last weekend when they had it on special for $171.00 with $20.00 mail rebate...hence $151.00. What are your thoughts on this board? Can I get anything better at the same price? Memory = G.Skill Ripjaws V Series 16GB (2 x 8GB) DDR4-3000 Memory The MSI motherboard shows Memory Supported: DDR4 3600(*OC)/3200(*OC)/3000(*OC)/2800(*OC)/2600(*OC)/2400/2133. Will this G.Skill DDR4-3000 memory work? or should i get the DDR4-2400 (which is a lil bit cheaper). What does *OC mean? , Storage = Samsung 850 EVO-Series 500GB 2.5" Solid State Drive Another item im look to purchase from eBay purchase. I will add a 7200rpm drive later if required, but most of my storage will be on my Synology NAS. Case = NZXT S340 (Black/Red) ATX Mid Tower Case This is one area I am totally undecided on. I dont care for looks or led lighting. I want efficiency. I want super silent fans. I want efficient cooling. And lastly, I want good cable management to reduce clutter. Will I need to add more fans? What brand fans do you recommend which are super silent and reliable. Power Supply = EVGA 850W 80+ Gold Certified Fully-Modular ATX Power Supply Another area I am totally undecided on. I want a fully modular PSU, but unsure of the Wattage or brand. This was recommended by my friend. Last and most important ======================= Videocard = GTX 1070 I am dead set on getting a GTX 1070...just dont know what brand and model. What is the important thing to consider when buying this card. Core clock speed? Most of the cheaper versions are core clock in the 1500s. Is that ok? or should I look for better? Is there a big difference in high clock speeds enough to justify a 30-50 dollar price? I am sure I will have more questions, but these are what come to mind now...Please advise.
