  1. This is a bump of another user's post that I am also encountering. On my University laptop, I don't expect to play any impressive games, but when trying to open the Minecraft Java Launcher or even something as lightweight as Spotify, I end up having the window show either a white screen, or a black border that outline's the window's parameters with nothing filled in. In the example of the Minecraft launcher, I am able to move my cursor around and click start, because I know where that button is, but when I start it, it just crashes. I found somewhere along the pipeline that disabling my AMD graphics device would allow me to see the windows, which ended up working, but this poses new problems. Again in the case of Minecraft Java, I can then see the launcher, and click play, but then upon launching, it crashes and states that my driver does not support OpenGL. I ran a full scan and repair of all drivers using DriverEasy Pro. And I'm still in the same spot that I was from the beginning. I of course also ran DDU to give that a try and of course came out no luckier than before. If anyone else has any other things in mind that might be able to fix this, I would really appreciate any feedback.
  2. Under load, the highest I get is 60, my dorm is almost always freezing but they just turned the heat on so I may need to upgrade my cooler this winter they're both 16, yes Fair grade, I got it for $300 and a 1070 as a trade for that card though so the relatively poor cooling compared to aftermarket cards like Zotac which would've been ideal is still worth it IMO Definitely battle ready
  3. No I didn't, I'm pretty sure they both perform the same, I get over 100 frames in my games at ultra so I don't think it's a problem, but if you think I should switch to the top slot I can certainly try it.
  4. Specs are in my signature, Give me a letter grade
  5. Ooohhh that makes sense! Thank you so much guys! My instructor only taught us Number(“Enter string here”) which I didnt think would work in this situation, please let me know if that would work as well and at all possible how to use number concatination
  6. I know im making a rookie mistake but, everyone has to start somewhere, and I’ve learned how to avoid this issue before but I just cant seem to rememeber how to fix it. Essentially my code in JavaScript is supposed to take input of 2 numbers and then add them together, but it takes the numbers and just lists them together. Again I know this is a common beginner mistake and I’ve done it right before but I cant remember what I’m doing wrong here. I know the variables arent being taken as strings so I’m a bit confused. What do I need to change to make my code take the 2 variables and add them together to display the output as a sum rather than a string of the 2 numbers? The inputs I used in this example of course are storage1 being 10 and storage2 being 10 as well.
  7. Hi! I'm in need of some help with my JavaScript work for programming. I need to make a program that adds 2 parameters together as a function and returns them. The problem I'm having is that its a function and I'm still learning how to properly execute functions. Here is the question being asked by my instructor followed by my current progress. Question: *in the image* My answer: //add function - adds two numbers together var add = function( operand1, operand2) { var sum = (operand1 + operand2); return sum; } //Now add two test cases that will call the add function with different parameters. add(10,10);
  8. My cpu usage under load hits 40 MAX, it’s usially around 30
  9. I’m running a 1080ti and an 8700k and trying to run far cry 5 in 4K on ultra, and I’ve seen plenty of benchmarks with this same configuration getting 55-60 FPS, anyone able to help me out here? heres the benchmark I am comparing primarily for reference:

  12. Alright, I'll keep this PSU kicking for a while longer yet, but I'll consider an upgrade sooner rather than later. Thx!
  13. Alright, if I have some extra cash within the next few months I'll consider the RMx, I just wanted to make sure there wasn't any wattage issue or bottleneck. I don't even know what happens if you try to make a pc overclock past its power limit. I would assume just like going past the max clock, it'll just crash and restart safely, so in that case, back to Heaven Benchmark!
  14. Oh it should be just fine then, its bottom mounted with the exhaust going down and out, I think it should be just fine, it's only 2 years old anyway
  15. What is the advantage over my current PSU?
  16. Just a quick question, I was wondering if I may need a higher wattage psu, if someone could just check out my build in my signature and compare it with this screenshot, that would be really helpful. Keep in mind my CPU is clocked up to 5.0GHZ. My GPU is not currently running an oc but I plan to push this 1080ti to the limit for gaming. Thanks!
  17. I’ve since updated to have the vengeance rgb and my case as the crystal 450 I think, I just have to update my specs on my signature
  18. Take a look at my new setup, I think I have my CPU OC correct, correct me if I'm wrong. I'm also using the Cooler Master Evo 212, and I'm not sure if this is dangerous. Is there anything I should change? Let me know your feedback! Thanks!
  19. As you can see in my signature, my rig is a bit of a beast. I just got the Witcher 3 off the steam summer sale but I haven't actually opened it yet. I also just got done installing a few Minecraft realistic shaders. I'm wondering if anyone has any suggestions of games or any sort of mods or programs that would make good use of my high-end battle rig.
  20. I have 16gb of ram on my custom build, and about 25% is being used on idle, is this normal?
