  1. Thanks! I'll try that. But if that doesn't work, it's probably the drive?
  2. Yeah that's the problem. It won't even show up once the game crashes. Suddenly the drive can't be accessed too. Only starts working again on restart, but happens once the game crashes.
  3. Hi everyone, I use a Samsung 970 Evo 1TB drive for my games, and recently Forza has been crashing. Initially I thought it was bad drivers, as there were a lot of people on the Forza subreddit complaining about crashes. However when I looked at the event viewer error code today, I saw that it was hard drive related. Then I realised I couldn't access the drive, nor was it recognised by Samsung Magician or CrystalDiskInfo. I've already formatted the drive before, so is it just the drive that is failing? Thanks
  4. On a AAA game like Star Wars Battlefront it averages out at 83-84C. Idle temp is 39C which is what the 1080ti has been experiencing during its tenure.

I had a lot of problems so I will try to format and explain it properly. When my PC Crashed: Whilst editing in Premiere Pro, scrubbing through the timeline, or even when I opened a certain file Exporting in Media Encoder. Sometimes, I would export my timeline and immediately crash. And other times I could export it flawlessly, so I have no idea why. Games: I launched Star Wars Battlefront 2 and experienced hardcrashes, or when I was alt tabbing into the game. The weird thing is that I have been able to play through 3-4 hour sessions for multiple days with no crashes. But sometimes it just crashes on launch or whilst alt tabbing. What I have tried: Changed from Nvidia Game Drivers to Studio Drivers, which solved my problem temporarily. It was okay for maybe a week but I suddenly started to experience crashes on Adobe Premiere Pro Downclocked my GPU, I downclocked it by up to 200Mhz, but I still experienced crashes. Changed the PCIe slot that it was in, which held up for a day but started the crash the next. Updated my Bios to the latest version, did not change anything to my recollection. Clean Graphics Driver Uninstall with DDU, didn't change much, maybe crashed less for a while but that's it. I think that's all the troubleshooting I tried, and due to the hard PC crashes (no BSOD, just switches off and restarts) I feel that it might be my PSU since it's Okay and 6 years old already. If anyone has any other suggestions or troubleshooting tips please shoot! I hope I have not made my issue sound too complicated. Thank you!
  6. Hi, recently my ASUS PG279Q has been displaying crazy colours on the left half of the screen. This happens from time to time and I have to wiggle the displayport cable to "reset" it back to normal. I've tried the HDMI port for awhile and it seems fine. I've also reinstalled my drivers just in case it's a GPU issue. Has anyone had an experience similar to this? Anything you did to fix this? I don't really want to repair it because I use it heavily for work and the service centre in my country is unreliable.
  7. Okay I finally figured out the issue. Turns out that there is only ONE correct orientation for the backplate to be fitted on, and unfortunately I had the other orientation. My temperatures are now pretty good with a max of 75 on RealBench, and these results running small fft on P95. Thanks for the help guys!
  8. @schwellmo92 does the amount of power im drawing matter? i'm only drawing 150W and I was already hitting 100celsius. My friend who has a x72 was drawing 200W and only hitting a max of around 95C
  9. @For Science! What are your temperatures when running realbench?
  10. @For Science! Seems like there isn't enough pressure between? I've searched the issue and it seems like there are wrong measurements between the backplate and the motherboard, causing some space and disallowing the cooler to have enough pressure onto the cpu
  11. I remounted and applied new thermal paste, still 100 degress under load. Any ideas? I do hear water being pumped when I start up the system so I have no clue why this is happening...
  12. Hi guys, recently I've noticed that my CPU hits 100 Celsius on load. Im running an 8700k at 5.2Ghz with AVX offset to 2, with a core voltage of 1.38V. Under the small FFT Prime 95 test most cores will hit 100 degress celsius. My iCue performance setting is already set to "Extreme" and the pump goes to 2.8kRPM and the fan 2.1kRPM. My coolant sticks at around 35.8C which seems lower than usual, yet the CPU hits high temperatures. Do you guys have any clue why this could be the issue? Thanks
  13. Hi everyone, I had left my home for 2 weeks and when I came back my internet speed over Wi-Fi and Ethernet has deteriorated significantly. I was getting 40megabits down and 100 megabits up on my gigabit connection. Initially before I left my home, I was getting 900 megabits down and 5-600 megabits up. I restarted my modem which helped get back my upload speed, but my download speed seems to be "capped" to slightly below 40megabits per second. Strangely, it seems to be capped at this speed over both Wi-Fi and Ethernet. Does anyone have any suggestions what I should do because I'm super frustrated at this problem. Thank you!
