  1. If I go that route (compact desk), then I would go with a 2nd Gen Ryzen 5 2700x, an RX 570, 16gb, of Trident RGB Ram (3200 MHz), Gigabyte B450 Aorus Motherboard, and everything else can be peferance (monitor, keyboard, mouse, case, ect.) All that sound like a good combo?
  2. I could, but as mentioned before, I don't have a desk. The place that I eat, sleep, and play games at is the living room, which means no room for a monitor unless I want to sit on the floor and play games like that, which is not a comfortable experience.
  3. Currency: look back up at the title of the post Market: definitely not premium, something that's more bang for the buck
  4. When it comes to desktops (and helping my friends pick out components) I can usually pick and build by myself, however when it comes to laptops, I'm lost. I figure that it would be wiser to come to the forms and get some ideas and suggestions from here. I would like to look for a laptop that has 144 Hz 1080p screen A decent graphics card build into it A cpu that is a quad-core (hyperthreaded or not) that runs at 3.0 GHz or more 16 GB RAM SSD (either 120 GB or higher) HHD (500 GB or higher) Earlier, I said that I could normally build a desktop without needing help and your thinking "Why don't you build yourself a desktop?" The answer frankly is that I don't have the space for a desktop. Hell, I don't even have a desk to properly use a desktop. The current laptop that I have is an HP with an AMD A8-7410 APU (2.2-2.5 GHz with Radeon R5 Graphics), 8 GB of RAM (2x4 GB running at 1333MHz) with 2 GB of that dedicated to the graphics chip baked onto the CPU, and it has a 600 GB 5400 RPM hard drive and playing Minecraft with OptiFine (because that is the only "demanding" 3d game I have) can barely hit 60 fps with most of everything set to fast and chunk rendering distance at 6. Suggestions are appreciated, thanks.
  5. I wish I could afford a desktop, but I want something that is mobile so that I can take with me (in case my little sister wants to play on the Xbox)
  6. As for mentioned from my previous post, I have bricked my motherboard on my HP Pavilion dv7 (a $700USD laptop that doesn't even come with a discreet graphics card)and I'm looking for a PC either the same price, or a little higher that had much better performance, the highest I'm willing to pay is about $800 to $850 USD. The Pavilion had a i52450M Dual core hyperthreaded CPU running at 2.5 GHz that turbos to 3.1, 4gb ddr3 RAM running at 1333MHz, and a shitty Intel 3000 graphics processor. I want to see the recommendations that everyone else has before making a final decision.
  7. Its not, but I'll try once I get the chance to.
  8. No, but it's saying something about being able to recover with Norton Security, and I didn't have that installed either
  9. I need big-time help. My computer was running slower than it should have and I tried most everything to fix it, including cleaning the motherboard (which was very dirty), in result, bricked it. I tried everything to try to bypass it, but nothing seems to work. I have a boot drive with drivers on a flash drive so that I can reload the iso and all the drivers back onto the computer once it's up and running(and it's a laptop by the way). I can't because of the Intel AT system lock. A photo will be provided to show what I'm talking about.
  10. Okay, so anything better than the 600B will be better? And on the topic of PSU's, how many watts do you recommend for this rig?
  11. Would this PSU also be able to support an ASUS GeForce GTX 1060 (6GB VRAM with a Boost clock of 1873 MHz) or any other graphics card?
  12. I'm planning to build my own desktop computer with my budget being about $750 USD, not including the graphics card or any other external peripherals . I have a list put together with the pricing of the items beside them. (All prices are USD) Intel Core i5 6500 3.20 GHz Quad Core Skylake Desktop Processor, Socket LGA 1151, 6MB Cache - $204 MSI Intel Skylake H170 LGA 1151 DDR4 USB 3.1 Mini-ITX Motherboard - $119 EVGA 600 B1, 80+ BRONZE 600W Power Supply - $50 Corsair Carbide Series Air 240 High Airflow MicroATX and Mini-ITX PC Case - $85 HyperX FURY Black 16GB Kit (2x8GB) 2133MHz DDR4 Non-ECC CL14 DIMM Desktop Memory - $97 Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO - CPU Cooler with 120mm PWM Fan - $28 Corsair Air Series SP120 Quiet Edition Twin Pack Fan (x2) - $52 ^(In case I want to change the three fans in the Corsair Carbide Air 240) Sandisk Z400s 128GB M.2 2280 SSD - $56 Seagate 1TB Desktop HDD SATA 6Gb/s 64MB Cache 3.5-Inch Internal Bare Drive - $50 The maximum amount of money that I will be willing to spend is $775 - $800. Are there any other setups that are better within the same price range? (All prices pulled from Amazon.com)
  13. I can always buy a better and faster processor and also better RAM. I'm going to upgrade a few things in it anyways.
  14. I'm looking to upgrade soon and I want to know if there are any computers that are as cheap as this one that offers as much as this one. Not only that, but I want to know if this desktop computer is wireless because on Best Buy (like will be provided), it says for wireless networking: Wireless - N. What does that mean? http://www.bestbuy.com/site/dell-inspiron-desktop-amd-a8-series-8gb-memory-1tb-hard-drive-black/5506775.p?skuId=5506775
