  1. it lasts 2 years. it has for me. it has for others. batteries don't decay after 2 or 3 years, that's crazy talk. (or you must be buying incredibly bad batteries).
  2. you should get educated.. there are lots of mice that run for a year, some two years, on batteries. example: m705 logitech. https://secure.logitech.com/en-us/product/marathon-mouse-m705 it's literally the main selling point of this mouse -- "impressivve 3 year battery life"
  3. The mx 2 anywhere would work but I tried it an after a week it went dead and had to be charged. It couldn't really be used during the charge. I'd like somethnig that lasts several months if not a year on batteries Isn't this a pretty common request for non-gaming mouse? Why doesn't this exist.
  4. I have this laptop -- http://www.adorama.com/le80ru00fsus.html (got it for a much lower price) I was under the impression that I could do 1440p at 60hz on an external TV via HDMI cable? Is this true? It seems that the HDMI is run not by the graphics card but by tthe Intel Graphics, which are fussy. 1440p isn't even an option, it's just 2160p or 1080p. I tried addin a custom resolution of 1440p at 60hz and it said it exceeded the bandwidth. I have a HDMI cable from Amazon that is the latest, and it's in a TV that can do 4k at 60hz. Can I do 1440p? If so how? Thanks ")
  5. would i be able to do 1440p at 60hz over hdmi 1.4 on my idea pad? that's probably better than 4k at 30hz generally, i think.
  6. the ideapad only has hdmi 1.4. In other news, my Vizio d40-u can't do 1080p at 60hz. And yes, it's a 60hz panel. Maybe there's something wrong with either the TV, or the TB3 to Hdmi converter I'm using, or the HDMI 2.0 cord.
  7. I really appreciate the feedback. The Ideapad doesn't have Hdmi 2.0 --- hence, me saying "i'm giving up on 4k at 60hz". It does, however, have i7-hq and 16gb of ram so I won't get the terrible lag I'm getting now on mutli-tasking with my XPS 13. And the Ideapad is $70 cheaper (amazon will give me a full refund on the xps 130) and it has a bigger scree and better keyboard. It's just crazy that Intel 520 graphics can supposedly do 4k60hz but gtx960 can't on that laptop. It's also crazy that they don't list the type of hdmi jack. My dream laptop at this point would be a i7-hq and TB3 or Display port for less than 1k. I can't find it tho.
  8. Well after looking all day for 3 days, I tihnk I'm giving up on 4k at 60hz This laptop -- http://www.adorama.com/le80ru00fsus.html?sdtid=8977427&emailprice=t&utm_medium=Affiliate&utm_source=rflaid62905 Just seems like too good of a deal. With an i7-hq and 16gb ram I won't have any lag ever even if it means 4k at 24Hz , or maybe I'll do 1440p at 60hz. (this thing has hdmi 1.4 I think). The only other laptop I know about htat has i7-hq and 4k at 60hz would be the Sager laptop and it's over $1,000 and I don't like the asthetic or keyboard. If you have any other ideas please let mek now
  9. i dont have the 4k one. it's i5-6200u 1080p matte screen (no touch). it's just really laggy with the video play back. laggy all around. plus i really want a 15.6 screen. For example, right now I have two firefox windwos. one with 1080p twitch stream and the other window is just tihs forum. cpu is 100% utilization and ram is half.
