HTML and CSS isn't really programming. It's more front-end design.
And you won't get a job easier than anyone else because it really depends on the kind of job. If you want to do complex back-end coding then none if this stuff is usefull (Except SQL) because most of them use C#, Java, C++, etc.

For the OP: It really depends what kind of knowledge you already have.
If you already can think logically (if, else, etc) then I would advise to go with C# or Java.
If you are really new to it then you could start with Python.
I would advise you to stay away from C++ in the beginning because it's quite hard to begin with. C# is a bit like C++ but with C# a lot of things are already programmed for you.

Still going to cost almost as much given how worthless the Canadian $ is. There is a reason linus calls our currency Canadian rubles lol. Because of this, it wouldn't be woth the hassle given oneplus has their own Canadian online retail shop and only rounded up 4$ on the currency conversion.

LUUD18 reacted to colonel_mortis in NVIDIA uses deep learning to generate extremely realistic looking faces
Source: https://arxiv.org/pdf/1812.04948.pdf (an academic paper, so it goes into a lot of technical detail)
A more accessible source (published since this post) is https://www.theverge.com/2018/12/17/18144356/ai-image-generation-fake-faces-people-nvidia-generative-adversarial-networks-gans

NVIDIA has developed a new architecture for using machine learning to generate images (specifically a new architecture for generative adversarial neural networks) which produces incredibly realistic looking images, passing the uncanny valley.

All of these pictures are computer generated - they aren't photos, and none of them are real people.

In generative adversarial networks (the type of machine learning that has been used here, and also used by deepfakes), there are two neural networks - one which generates images, and one which evaluates them. The evaluation side is trained on a collection of real images, so it learns to tell whether an image looks good. The evaluator can then be used to test how good the generator is, so the system can tweak parameters in the generator and test how much of an improvement they have made.

The changes described in the paper affect the generator. Instead of having a single complex black box that learns how to satisfy the evaluator directly, it's split into two parts. As I understand it, the first part generates features, such as hair style, beard, glasses, skin colour, face shape, etc, then the second part produces images from those features. This means that the whole image is based on one "description" of the face, so everything fits together. Because the network has learnt to only produce descriptions that produce realistic looking faces, it doesn't generate child faces with beards, or square faces, and everything fits together.

Note that I'm not an expert on GANs or machine learning, and my understanding of the paper is fairly superficial, so I may well be misunderstanding parts of how it works. If you know more, please do correct me.

They have also published a very impressive video which shows how powerful this approach is

This is some really cool technology, and the images that it's producing look impressively realistic. Images like these would previously have taken a lot of manual effort to manufacture, and now all you need is some computing power (though probably quite a lot of power is needed at the moment). Deepfakes caused controversy last year when similar technology was used to make fake celebrity porn, and as the technology improves further it is becoming harder and harder to believe things you see in videos.

Did you even try the OP6T? The fingerprint isn't that slow and it is getting faster every update.

LUUD18 reacted to Darkseth in Looking to upgrade to the OnePlus 6T
I have the 6T and i don't regret getting this over the 6.

Fingerprintsensor is perfectly fine. It's not the fastest on the market, but it's on the Front, which is for my personal case MUCH better than anything on the back.
I also have no problems with accuracy. Samsung's Sensor is way less accurate.
i would NEVER trade this one for a Rear sensor at all, no matter how fast it could possibly be, Rear position is just way too inconvenient for me.
I guess, many Reviewsers are just too stupid to use it correctly (Yes, i have seen Youtube Reviews, i could only facepalm and close the video...)

6T has a much better notch (still, no notification LED, it's surprising how this isn't a dealbreaker for me. I look at my phone when i have the time, and that works. Otherwise, inactivity display works good too).

Battery life is noticeably better thanks to a much bigger battery. And that's something you can never have enough.

Better Display too (well, a few more Pixels, because it got "longer" = more space for content.

Audio: A bummer with the headphone Jack. But tbh, i rarely use it, so Adapter is a solid workaround. I rather use THIS "Workaround", than having a smaller battery (which i use every day) and a rear Fingerprintsensor.

According to some Reviews, Speaker has a better Quality than on the 6.

There are many good things, a few minor meh's. Found the one or another bug (like, when waking the display without the power button, the hole Display (aka, inactivity display with the Clock) gets to max brightness, when you put your finger on, that shouldn't happen. Or Random Notifications (xx Apps updated) coming sometimes too late randomly (Whatsapp and all the important stuff always comes perfectly fine, so it doesn't bug me that much).
Minor stuff only. Still would not go back to my S7 Edge Software for a while.

Vibration-engine is literaly the worst you can find. But the Axon 9 even has a similar Crapshit built in so.. Probably you won't do a stepdown coming from an Axon 7 (or does this one have a better one?). it does the job, but it doesn't feel or sound pleasing.

User experience is awesome. How Clean the Skin is without losing many usefull features like you do on the "dumb" vanilla Android on the Pixels, and the incredible speed. Also, very fast and long updates from Oneplus.

Overall: Considering the whole Device, 6t is superior to the 6. But this is more than just obvious.
One can set their priorities differently, but objectively, 6t is the better Smartphone.

@ Thread: Well, i have the 6t, came from a 2,5 year old S7 Edge (same "generation" as your Axon 7). If you have any specific questions, ask ahead.

I can fully recommend it. For the Price, the overall package is increedibly great, depending how your priorities are. Since you said, performance is the bigger problem you have now, this will be even better, because Oneplus is usually among the fastest smartphones out there.

Otherwise, depends what specs are important to you. Do you absolutely NEED Qi Charging for example? Then Oneplus is not for you.

6 and 6t will probably get the same amount of Updates.

Like Oneplus 3 and 3t. Both get Android 9 Pie update. For the OP 3 it's the 3rd Major update, for the OP 3t it's the second.

I personally would go with the 6t.
In-screen fingerprint might not be as fast, but it's still quite good. And huge pro: Front > Back.
MUCH bigger batterylife. Well, at least 10-20% more.
Notch looks better, and a few Pixels more due to slightly smalelr Chin.

Notification LED... i honestly wonder if i'll miss it.

However, take a different approach to this one: This year, something called "Digital Wellbeeing" came into Android as well as iOS.
Software implemented, to help us get things done as fast as possible, help us monitor our usage, and then instead making us use the device more, helping us to focus more on Real Life.
No Notification LED will have the advantage, that you won't look at your device every 5 seconds like a meth addict who hasn't had anything since 12 hours, going like "omg a new notification i need to stop everything i do".

Instead, whenever you actually have spare time in your Life, THEN you can take your phone, look what's up, get it done, and go back to Life. Life beeing Work, time with your friends/Family etc.

Or..... i'm looking for reasons, and i will miss it. Lol.

3.5mm Headphone Jack: I prefer wired headphones, and i will ever do that. I personally find bluetooth headphones (inear, overear, anything) much less convenient than wired.
But: Since everyone jumps on that, it makes no sense taking a worse phone just because of this, when other things are worse (like Software optimization etc).
I will try the Adapter and see for myself, how the Audioquality will be compared to the 3.5mm Jack of my S7 Edge. If it's just as good or better, i'm fine with it.
Instead, i rather take a MUCH bigger battery. Battery Life can't be replaced by anything other than more battery Life.

Other than that, if you prefer Rear Sensor + Headphone Jack so much more, take the 6 for a better Price. It's still the same Performance.

If you are interested in flashing roms I would stick with One Plus Phones, as for what version I personally getting 6T just for bigger battery and bigger screen/smaller notch. If you already have wireless headphones and you don't mind bit slower fingerprint unlock I would get 6t.

Also new phone doesn't mean longer OS updates.

Personally S9+ is much better phone but the OS is really shit imo and development on S9+ is rather lacking compare to one plus phones. This is mainly due to the price and how easy to unlock boot-loader and provided source codes.

I personally going to get 6t later this year because I know some great developers just got 6t and they are starting development. As my 3t battery is already showing it age at 2 years and might retire it as another home assistant display.

I've been using the OP 6 for the past couple of months, I know it's just down to the individual but I find it quite easy to ignore the notch. As far as battery goes, it easily lasts me 2 days on a full charge. A day if I'm really hammering it.

I was considering waiting for the 6T but my Nexus 6P's battery fell of a cliff so I bit the bullet and got the 6. I am glad I did because the lack of a headphone jack is a deal breaker for me. I wonder what my options will be like in 2020/21 if OP doesn't even have the headphone jack anymore. ?

Nah I miss when LTT was more relaxed, the best LTT videos are the ones Linus and Luke are just themselves and they have fun while filming something, going around the office, showing back stage stuff, more simple means and all... lately they are way too try hard... then again I'm not the show's audience any more... which seems to be more and more shifted towards running nose children meme addicts that qq to their parents to get over priced rigs...

Saw a thread the other day of a 14 years old that was complaining his parents got him a "used" rig and he hated it, it was an i7 4790k + GTX 980ti + 16gb ram lol

Any ways as you mentioned here:
I will be honest I watch and like RandomGaminginHD videos far more than LTT's nowadays, and his is literally just one guy with no sponsoring what so ever pretty much... go figure why this stuff happens.... although truth be told LTT has the best tech forum by a long mile still reason why I support it yet.
