  1. But it doesn't cool the whole case, like the OP mentioned. That would be a much better option though.
  2. It has a fan-less power supply.
  3. So many reasons why this wouldn't work. I'll give you a few; No 1. The compressor would take up half the room of your case and is very noisy. No 2. The heat from the condenser would heat up your room. The biggest reason why this won't happen is this; A/C compressors use anywhere from 15 amps of power, at 120 volts, all the way up to 15 amps at 230 volt. You would have to have a dedicated circuit just to run the damn thing!
  4. Can't use speedfan because it crashes my computer. I'm using core temp.
  5. I bought a Toshiba laptop about a year ago and I've always noticed that the fan runs quite loud. I checked the cpu temperature and It's only running at 55 c and the fan is running at 65%! Why does Toshiba run the fan so high at such low temperatures?
  6. Not all of them do. My grandmother's HP only has one.
  7. Isn't 8.1 exactly the same except for a few visual things? BTW I have 8.1 that's why I'm interested.
  8. Windows 8, from what I've observed, is faster.
  9. I'll be demolishing the HDD with a saw. Don't really want to blow up a house.
  10. Bingo! I'm not blaming the machine.
  11. I've spending the last 24 hours (not exaggerating) updating Microsoft's worthless Windows vista (doesn't deserve caps) for use as a HTPC but you know what I think it's time to give it up and let the machine win. First of all I "successfully" installed close to 100 updates which should have only taken four hours but turned into eight hours. Need less to say I'm very tired and just want the computer to work, but after 16 hours of staring at a computer screen (not in a row) I'm finally going to give up and come up with another solution; It involves a blow torch, a hammer, and perhaps gasoline if it's cold out.
  12. Seven is basically everything XP did plus some. IMO
  13. Vista used way too many resources for the computers I had them on. My current PC, with Vista, has 4GB of ram which seems to keep Vista fast. I never like XP's theme either.
  14. 8 is my favorite too. Besides Metro I don't know what there's not to like. I put Vista in because there are plenty of people still using it (including me).
  15. I've been enjoying my laptop that has Windows 8 for the last year that I've for gotten how nice it is to have a OS that doesn't crash, make programs not respond, and isn't slow as hell. Anyways I wanted to get your guys opinion on what operating system you guys liked the most.
