  1. They do things like check to see if people actually exist so could be a while longer as ive been following them on twitter for awhile now and read someone else asking them about giveaways so basically the entrants are checked by hand mostly to make sure their not bots after that i dunno if they use a puter or maybe they tally them up via paper and fishbowl pick either way last i checked was like 50k entries or so alot to sort especially if doing this by hand or something for drawing so as long as they crush bot using arses that spam auto entries i have no qualms of delay however updates via their twitter or fb pages or just a general statement on giveaways page or something would be nice like ETA or just so many to go thru but between supporting teams and running a business and responding to social media im amazed they have the time do any giveaways let alone check on actual exsisting people
  2. I dunno if its just me but i clearly remember nvidia discussing this tech back in the days of ATI/3dFX voodoo cards.... the 90's in other words, so am i just olde and feeble minded >< back then i was fairly certain i was against it as all we had then were 60hz monitors and the boost from it did not outweigh the $$$ today however with the 144hz+ becoming more available and HD graphics becoming more popular its finally worthy , but honestly can anyone correct me if im wrong on this ? and if im not would definitely like to see maybe a tech quickie history of it or maybe a comparsion of a then model g-sync to now or something (dunno if they ever made one) CRT's were mainstream then and i think Flat panel CRT's were just starting into exsistence during this development and discussion of the technology, basically i want to know if im olde and feeble remembering something that didnt happen or was the tech just in the planning stages and didnt come about untill 2000+
  3. entered this and ncix's giveaway atm for intel rig challenge since both are going on during and around my birthday this one ends before ncix's is after, if i win a gfx card ill be seriously upgrading my cpu/mb/ram even tho i just did a ram8gig - 32gig/hdd to SSD/750 ti to 960 GTX upgrade on my amd 8350fx machine the improvements helped but not as much id have liked but i can play most things 60fps + 1080p np just some cpu curbing effects going on in some games atm like appearently overwatch for me :\ (will show in game as 60fps-100+ at times (80+ at 75% render which is what i use on comp play) but stutters/freeze/pause at times honestly dunno if thats the cpu true or just bad inet traffic hits due to haters and such as it doesnt happen often, or by the grace of god id win a 10k pc for my bday =d
  4. I'm currently using a 960 GTX 4gb evga FTW card, havent used AMD since they bought out ATI for video cards mostly due to the bad support i heard after they took over, but i heard its gotten better so would hope for a card that has at least 4gb or more and a quite possibly not so much of a let down as the FX chip series has become because i bought it thinking it was a gaming chip... and it underperforms as im sure u guys know, i had bought to replace a 1k cost quadcore intel chip (original cost of the first line of quadcore Extreme edition ) that i let burn due to fergetting to replace the thermal, however it hasnt exactly performed better nor worse then said chip due to FPU's -_-;; so i would hope video cards arent that bad of a letdown.. but being that i could no longer afford something of that calibur and amd price point was fine im fairly happy with 8350fx chip i purchased even tho it didnt really live up to its gaming chip design current setup = GTX 960 4gb ftw evga /32gb ram/ Asus sabertooth r2 990fx/2 x 850 evo ssd's 2x seagate 500gb hdds, 1000watt psu inside 830 stacker cooler master case (yes its old and still works ;p and yes its big and heavy , Thermal right aftermarket heatsink that works for am3+ appearently (or happened to work im not sure how olde that standard is as i was using the same heatsink on the intel.. ;p)
