  1. I just reset the CMOS and it seems to be working a lot better than before. I also applied a bit more thermal paste, it seems to be cooler than before, but still, gpu is overheating no matter what, it stays in 60-70 C when browsing the internet and doing normal stuff. Sometimes, laptop overheats in bios and shuts down, i have no idea why. It still turns off from time to time when booting, like maybe once in every 10 times, but still, a lot better than before. Thanks!
  2. Checked. Everything is plugged in, took out RAM and then put it in again. Still, 7 out of 10 times it fails to boot when i turn it on. I can't even access bios, i press F2, fan starts going crazy and laptop shuts off.
  3. Few hours ago, I disassembled a laptop in order to blow dust from it and change thermal paste. I assembled it again, turned it on, great - windows booted, working good, i checked temps, they were way lower than before. I restarted it to get into bios and install new OS, it gets stuck on the display that shows "Press F2 for setup, F12 boot options, etc.". Loading bar is loading, then just gets stuck. In the beginning fans are not loud, working as they should, after about 20 seconds, they just ramp up like crazy, and laptop shuts down. And now every time I turn it on, that happens. I read online that it might be a heat problem, but I am sure it is not because the fan is blowing cold air out and I JUST changed thermal paste, like few hours ago. Laptop is 10+ years old, not mine, guy wanted me to blow the dust and "refresh" the OS of his laptop. I am screwed. Please help. Laptop is Dell Latitude D630
  4. I currently have gtx 750ti, 1x8gb ddr3 (the black hyperx one), x4 860k with stock cooler (its REALLY LOUD like srsly loud under load), so i was wondering if coolermaster 212 evo is worth buying with this current config? cpu under load is running at 67 C and the stock cooler is so loud, sounds like a jet. And is upgrading to 16gb ddr3 worth?i might buy ryzen cpu in the near future (probably 1 year from now lol) and, you know, new motherboard with ddr4. I want to have 2x8gb because single channel is bad, everyone says that its bad, sometimes i have microstutters and im sure that its happening because of single channel, bcs my friend has same pc but with 2x4gb ram and he doesn't have microstutter in games like lol, dota and csgo. Sometimes even my pc stutters when i have bunch of word documents, few power point presentations and stuff like that, and ram isnt full, i maybe use 5-6gb. And ye im pretty sure that microstuttering is not happening because of cpu, temps are low when im playing league. any suggestions? here is the sound of my cooler, raise the volume a little bit because my mic not so good.. but just listen to the cooler
  5. I decided to increase frequecy of my x4 860k cpu from 3.7 to 4.0, i first increased to 3.8 then 3.9 and 4.0, tested every frequency, it was stable, no chrases, but i noticed that cpu on 100% is running at lower frequency, i overclocked to 4.0, cpu is running on 3.5... help pls Max temp was 66 c, overclocked in bios, using prime 95 to stress the cpu, open hardware monitor to monitor temps and frequency, cpuz for cpu stats You can see the problem on the picture
  6. disabled pagefile on both drives settings are very low power options set to high now i get a little bit more fps, the stutter is i think lower but its still there
  7. cpu usage is normal, i dont think it ever reached 100% in lol, ram is not full
  8. i still get random 0.5 freezes every like 10 mins
  9. Hi, I have a problem. I have like 0.5 second fps drop in games such as League of Legends, CS GO and Dota2. The fps drops from like 150 to 30 and then it goes back to normal.Happened few times in witcher 3 but that is high end game and i have pretty underpowered pc for that game, but game runs fine on low settings, +30 fps.The microstutter (0.5 second frame freeze, fps drop) happens like 4-10 times in average game of League of Legends and same for csgo and dota2. And it happens randomly. I think my setup is perfectly fine for lol, csgo and dota2 and that microstuttering shouldnt be that often. It's really frustrating and i want to get rid of it. I tried monitoring cpu, ram,gpu and i cant get to the solution. my specs: gpu- gigabyte GTX 750ti -all drivers up to date, average temps cpu- amd x4 860k black edition -average temps, maybe 30 when its not doing anything and max was like 60 under heavy load, using "open hardware monitor" for monitoring parts motherboard- asus a88xm-e -ALL drivers up to date hdd1- 1 TB western digital something hdd2- 500 gb western digital ram- 8gb ddr3 1866 mhz os- windows 7 ultimate i checked background programs and processes everything is fine
  10. My friend called me because his computer didn't work properly, when he turned on the computer the screen goes black. I first thought its graphics card so I tried to pull out gpu. There was little thing on motherboard on gpu slot that i need to press to pull out the gpu and i accidentaly broke it. PC was full of dust so we cleaned it. I put the gpu back on its slot, it sits there just fine. When we turned on the computer the screen was black again. The pc is broken obviously. So I am asking if the problem is the little thing that you need to press to pull out gpu, does that thing affect on gpu? Pc is a little older, it has agp slot and i dont know what the gpu is , i think its one of the older amd gpu. i hope you understand what i mean
