I went through all the steps again, and found that one of my thermal pads wasn't making contact with the heatsink. So I tighted the screws and that made the pad and hinksink touch. Thanks for the replies everyone. My temps under load are now around 70c-72c, the fans are way quieter, and my frames are back.

Also, my framerates are cut in half in graphically intense games.

I own an Evga gtx 1070 and recently installed the thermal mod on my card. Before I installed it, my temperatures were around 75c under load, now they're at 95c and my fan is extremely loud. What do I do? This mod did exactly opposite of what it was suppose to do. Help please.

Hey, I'm wondering if I meet the specs to run a Vive at 60 fps with high graphics. I'm not sure if my cpu is good enough. Please no biased opinions. My specs: Evga Gtx 1070 Amd Fx-8300 16g ram. Thanks for your time.

Hello, I'm thinking of upgrading my cpu and gpu and I need some advice on what cpu to upgrade to. I was told you should upgrade your proccesser before your graphics card, but I don't know that much about current cpus. I'm planning on upgrading to a 1060 but I don't know if I should get a new AMD cpu or switch mobos and get an Intel I currently have a GTX 650 and FX-4300. (I know) Thanks for any help, -Matt
