  1. Everytime I click screen share on discord, my pc will freeze for 1 second, then respond for 1 second, then freeze for one second and will continue to do so until i close the screen sharing menu. If I stream directly to twitch there is no problem. I reinstalled to program multiple times and removed old registry files, didn't help. I just did a clean windows install as I got a new SSD and I still have the same issue. Does anyone have any idea what could be causing the issue or what could help it? Thank you! Also if I stream a game directly on discord by click the stream button while a game is open, it is better but will still freeze up my pc for a second or two. specs: Ryzen 5600x, 16gb 3600mhz ram and a rtx3070
  2. My mum's chromebook will restart chrome and all other apps after 10 seconds when signed into her account but when browsing as a guest or on another gmail account its all fine. Not sure what to do, I want to use the chromebook recovery utility but need to get her photos off first. Any ideas?
  3. It's called the Kolink Observatory RGB. The problem with it is, it's a male 2 pin connector and the motherboard has only male fan headers. Maybe if I get an adapter it would work?
  4. So I'm building a PC for a friend, he bought a cheap case with RGB fans built in and the hub is very confusing and we can't get the RGB to work. There's a hub, with 4 fans connected, then there's a molex cable coming out of it, that's plugged into the power supply and the fans spin. Then there's another 2 pin cable coming out of the hub, which is labelled "power led" but I have no idea where to plug it. Any ideas?
  5. My laptop has a removable CPU so I took it out and put it back in again and it seems to have sorted it out. Could one of the pins being slightly loose have been the cause? Cheers for the help anyway.
  6. The fans on my laptop max out after 2 minutes and then 20 seconds after that the laptop will shut down. I've cleaned the fans and reapplied thermal paste but nothing seems to help. The laptop has been battered and bruised. A lot of the screw mountings have snapped off so it's held together by only 12 screws and I wonder if it's because it's not fixed together tight enough. All the heatsink mountings are there and tightened down as much as possible. Any ideas of the cause or how to fix it are welcome, thanks.
  7. Sometimes, when I'm playing overwatch, only when in a match, I cannot hear my friends and they cannot hear me, every now and then I hear them but even so, its one or two and not all of them and its very distorted. I think its a bandwith problem but I have extremely fast internet (200 down 15 up). Any help?
  8. It's also what I suspect, if its the cable, it seems impossible to replace with the hinge design of my laptop. It's a lenovo z510 btw.
  9. My screen initially flickered brightly white once a day, then as time went on the flashing happened more and more often. It would keep flickering until i moved the screen on its hinge vigorously or even hit the screen. I got the screen replaced and for the first few weeks it was fine, then the whole pattern started again however this time the screen flickered black; I'm assuming due to the different LCD screen. I went to another shop, told them exactly what I'd done and that I doubted the screen was at fault, but they replaced it and again, the problem is still here. Now the screen will just turn black. It starts working again when I put the laptop to sleep and turn it back on. Any ideas on what the cause could be?
  10. Fixed it. Sanity check wasn't thorough enough, GPU had an 8 pin going nowhere, wasn't plugged in to PSU. What a waste of time that was
  11. HDMI in GPU doesn't give me any signal. When in rear IO of motherboard I get a signal and in BIOS there is no GPU detected. I have a 550W PSU so it's enough.
  12. Also, I plugged in a network card into my top PCI slot to test if the PCI lanes were working and the 'Board Explorer' is now showing that there are 3 PCI lanes populated irrespective of where the GPU is.
  13. That's where my HDMI has been connected. When it's in the GPU I just get a black screen
  14. Power is going to the GPU. do you think its DOA?
