  1. So two days ago I get home and sit down to play some games on my new pc. I try to turn it on. Nothing happens. So I immediately assume its the power supply because I hear buzzing coming from (or i thought it was coming from) the power supply. So I call up NCIXUS and ask them for an RMA of my power supply (EVGA NEX650G). They agree and I package and send it over to them. My idea after this was to get a decent power supply from a nearby Micro Center, use it, and then return it when the other one comes back from RMA. So I purchase this power supply and install everything into my case. I then discover that my motherboard was the one who was buzzing (not the PSU). There is no output whatsoever to the display and nothing powers on except for a fan I have hooked up to molex. The only thing that happens is that I start to hear a faint, but noticeable static-y buzzing coming from the motherboard. The card works as I tested it on another motherboard. I tested the power supply with other hardware to see if it worked and it did (flawlessly). I don't know what to do. I was counting on doing some gaming and now I can't do anything because I made the wrong decision in buying an AsRock board (never making this mistake again). This is the first computer I've built in my life and it won't work. Please tell me what to do. BTW I bought this motherboard from Newegg with a 1 year accident protection plan (SNET-999137). I've had it for over 30 days so returns cannot be done which sucks because I could go with a ASUS or Gigabyte motherboard. (I'm really disappointed in AsRock) No one get the AsRock 990fx Extreme6 or any other motherboard in fact as the BIOS sucks and there is very little QC
  2. Thanks Yeater. Im gonna check them out. Also I heard about sleeved extensions. Do they work for the EVGA NEXpsu?
  3. Thank you lee3uk Do you know if anyone else sells custom cables for the NEX?
  4. Sorry man. But in reality in only 13 and I would have no idea what I was doing in terms of custom cable sleeving. I mean, I have seen SingularityComputers do it and explain how to do it, but it would require alot of resources and time which I don't really have. I do wanna pimp out my pc though.
  5. I recently completed by gaming computer build and for this build I purchased an EVGA NEX650G 650 watt psu. I was looking into custom sleeving from CableMods but I am confused as to if the Black/White set for the G2/P2 series will work for a G1 psu. I am confused, so please help :3
  6. Thanks guys I think I might go with the Sapphire Tri-X r9 290 because I live in the US
  7. I can purchase a GTX 770 reference card for $200 flat but I've had my eye on the GTX 970 from EVGA. There is a considerable price difference where the GTX 970 is $150 more at $350. Which one would give me better price:performance for playing games like BF4, ACU, and the upcoming Witcher 3?
  8. Thanks for the feedback guys I think I'm going to either try to get a Radeon 7950 or 7970 and I'll try to find either a GTX 760 or 670. I also found a GTX 650 for $60 Is that a good deal?
  9. Hey guys I'm doing soft of a budget build with and AMD-8320e processor and I found a great deal on a GTX 660. This guy can sell me his old EVGA GTX 660 (02G-P4-2662-KR) for $100. I was originally planning on buying a GTX 750 ti for $140. I am also watching some GTX 760s and r9 280x's (Radeon HD 7970) on ebay. They are all around $130-$150. What should I do?
  10. Thanks for the help guys. I think I'm going to buy both and only use one with the Pentium until I can afford a better processor like an i5 or an i7. Any other recommendations for the build in general?
  11. So I'm building sort of a budget build for about $500-$600 and my friend is selling me his old GeForce GTX 780 WindForce cards (2 cards) from Gigabtye, in almost new condition, for $75 each ($150 total) because he upgraded to 980s in SLI (he's sort of rich). In my build I'm planning on using a Pentium G3258 for my processor temporarily until I can afford a 4770k or 4790k and then using the Pentium for a mini-itx media PC build. I just wanted to know if the Pentium will bottleneck the 780s to a point where they're not usable and if it's a worthy investment. Also I would like to know if it's better to buy one 780 and then using the extra $75 to buy a better CPU. I'm up to any suggestions for the build in general as well . Here is a link to the parts for build: http://pcpartpicker.com/p/zQ2tsY Here is a write-up as well: CPU: Intel Pentium G3258 3.2GHz Dual-Core Processor ($64.98 @ OutletPC) CPU Cooler: Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO 82.9 CFM Sleeve Bearing CPU Cooler ($28.75 @ OutletPC) Motherboard: MSI Z97S SLI Krait Edition ATX LGA1150 Motherboard ($126.99 @ Amazon) Memory: Kingston Fury White Series 4GB (1 x 4GB) DDR3-1866 Memory ($36.99 @ Amazon) Storage: Apotop 128GB 2.5" Solid State Drive ($59.99 @ Newegg) +1tb Seagate Barracuda 7200rpm Hard Drive (Already Have) Video Card: Gigabyte GeForce GTX 780 3GB WINDFORCE Video Card (2-Way SLI) Video Card: Gigabyte GeForce GTX 780 3GB WINDFORCE Video Card (2-Way SLI) Case: NZXT S340 (White) ATX Mid Tower Case ($67.99 @ SuperBiiz) Power Supply: EVGA 850W 80+ Bronze Certified Semi-Modular ATX Power Supply ($81.98 @ Newegg) Total: $467.67 + $150 for video cards = $617.67
