I m starting to think its problem with the monitor driver. After i install the driver it recognizes it as acer XG270HU, but after i restart the PC it changes back to generic PnP monitor. Can not properly installed monitor driver be the cause of wrong refresh rate?

nothing changed Its enabled on the amd driver. There is not option for freesync on the OSD

Did all date still 75Hz max. Its set to DP 1.2

I m currently using windows 7 and i just installed a new GPU( from Nvidia to AMD). Could those be the problem?

I just got my Acer XG270HU(1440p 144hz). The problem is i cant get it to work on 144hz. With DP 1.2 cable i am able to get it to 75 Hz. With Dual link Dvi it stays on 60 Hz. Is it a driver or firmware problem? I m powering it with RX 480.

For a RX 480 4gb which one would you recommend - XFX (non GTR one ) or Sapphire Nitro +?

Ehh sadly XFX dont make GTR version of the 4gb 480. There is Sapphire nitro one at the same price, i'll look into which one is better.

I just found 480 4gb with price close to the 470 (XFX RADEON RX 480 RS RX-480P4LFB6). Is it worth the 40 euro on top? To give you better prespective here are the prices: 470 4gb around 210 euro 1060 3gb -230 euro 480 4gb- 250 euro 1060 6gb 310 euro

By future proof i don't mean running AAA titles in the future, just continue running esport class games at 1440p with atleast 144 fps.

The RX 480 and the 1060 6gb are really expensive where i live so they are out of my budget.

Ordered Acer XG270HU (1440p 144hz freesync monitor) and i m looking into getting new GPU. Was wondering between RX 470 and 1060 3gb. I play light games like heroes of the storm, lol, CS so i don't need much in tearms of GPU. Rest of the hardware: MB-Asus b150 pro CPU i5 6400 Ram-8 gb 2133 hz Kingston hyperx Power supply Corsair VS 650 W I wont be upgrading for very long time so futureproofnes is bonus.
