I started thinking about my 1TB Passport that I use to backup all my important, irreplaceable files and music that I have gathered over a span of like 7 years. I update the backup about once every week or two and I started to think that it would be the one thing in my room that I'd grab if there was a fire. If I wasn't home, I really really could not lose this passport. So I started looking on amazon for a small, inexpensive box that is fireproof to put the Passport in. My Passport is already in this case: http://amzn.com/B003LSTD38
I was thinking of buying this one: http://amzn.com/B00006ICA8
I'm not sure if the hard drive would still melt inside that one. It says it was tested for up to 750 degrees and I'm just wondering if anyone has any experience or advice for this? Will my hard drive still work if it's in the case and inside that fireproof box?
Thanks guys!
