It's my backup for everything important on my PC. So I have it on my PC and on an external HDD. I probably should put it in a few other places too.

I'm trying to find the maximum temperature a MyPassport can withstand...if it can survive 350F then I'd be ok but...well I could always buy another MyPassport, throw it in the oven and bake it at 350. What could possibly go wrong?

I started thinking about my 1TB Passport that I use to backup all my important, irreplaceable files and music that I have gathered over a span of like 7 years. I update the backup about once every week or two and I started to think that it would be the one thing in my room that I'd grab if there was a fire. If I wasn't home, I really really could not lose this passport. So I started looking on amazon for a small, inexpensive box that is fireproof to put the Passport in. My Passport is already in this case: http://amzn.com/B003LSTD38 I was thinking of buying this one: http://amzn.com/B00006ICA8 I'm not sure if the hard drive would still melt inside that one. It says it was tested for up to 750 degrees and I'm just wondering if anyone has any experience or advice for this? Will my hard drive still work if it's in the case and inside that fireproof box? Thanks guys!

I use a 256GB SSD for my boot and all my main programs because I really like the fast boot. I have a 1TB hard drive for storage of all my steam games and music! I also have a 1TB My Passport for backup. Thank you Linus, I met you at PAX and you're a really nice guy!
