Instead of reinstalling Windows, I’d use a program like DDU to completely remove any drivers from the RTX card. Then try either card again.

@Taintedmind BIOS is independent of your Windows installation. You can update the bios without impacting windows and the opposite is true as well. The only time you shouldn’t is if you have bit locker enabled on your drive.

Just putting this this out there, you don’t have to reinstall Windows to update BIOS. I figure you must have another reason to reinstall Windows, but just thought I’d verify you knew that,

Giiman95 got a reaction from PX4XKkRWMM in Floatplane
Basically, they were losing money and needed to stop the bleeding. Another member of the forum pointed out that there was a security flaw that was letting people access Floatplane on the forum without paying. I don’t know of a single company who wouldn’t try to stop that immediately.

That’s probably why it was terminated so quickly and without notice. It might even have been in their terms of service that they don’t have to notify us. It’s the nice thing to do, but they might not be obligated to.

I know now my initial reaction and maybe even some of those of other Floatplane members might have been on the verge of outrage, but this new information is helping settle the issue.

Hi all. I have an update on the situation with the forum.

    Per Floatplane Support:
“The sub forum is being closed so they can work on a player that is backwards-compatible with Floatplane.com (No ETA, unfortunately).”

I followed up and confirmed if the sub-forum would be coming back.
“Temporary from what we last heard. Linus mentioned re-opening the subforum with a different player sometime in the future.”

@Colonelmortis mentioned that they closed the sub forum due to people who were not paying for access had access. At least now we know their is hope for the sub-forum.

Hopefully, with the support of the rest of the Floatplane members, we can convince the Floatplane team and LMG that the sub forum is worth their time.

"Automatic sharing to Twitter and Google+ via uploads or Creator Studio"
"You’ll also no longer see the option to automatically share your video on Google+ and Twitter via the upload flow in Creator Studio. "

    Notes from Article
"YouTube doesn’t provide any reason for why this functionality is going away, interestingly. Unlike other recent feature removals which were taken out due to minimal usage, this one seems odd considering a huge number of creators still take advantage of the functionality."

My Takeaway: The LTT Twitter account will be seeing a lot less activity. ?
All seriousness, with the helpful information provided by Linus, it seems logical for this feature to be retired.

Creators shouldn't be doing this anyway.

Auto-generated tweets perform like hot garbage compared to manually posted ones. There's no reason for this on YT's side. This is a Twitter issue, but clearly they have no intention of fixing it, so YT might as well deprecate the feature.

I know what you mean. I just built my new Ryzen system and as soon as I set out to build it, I ran to Best Buy to buy a Samsung 970 evo. So nice not having to take up any more SATA ports or run more wires in my case.

@sharedknowledge It’s looking fantastic! I know companies like Apple even have anodizing issues. My jet black iPhone 7 plus has quite a few scratches from just moving around in my case. I love your comment on the trash bins. I think you managed to avoid any confusion. ?

GPU would only be important if you’re passing it through to a VM. CPU depends on if you plan on running things like docker or VMs. Drives comes down often to price=quality. Depends how trusting you are.

So it's placement on the mainstream platform is in name only. At a premium exceeding 200USD that of the 2700x, who really cares if Intel's 8 core is faster at this point? Half a year late, and over 60% the price to the 8 core 16 thread competition.

You wont notice it. Wtf is with these armchair think-they-know-alls that litter this forum lately?

Have you put an oscilloscope at the end of an ethernetcable of 100m and check the distortion? I have. Copper electrical wiring = not a problem, TL lights or heavy EM fields are.

Giiman95 reacted to Alex Atkin UK in Will running an Ethernet cable next to a power cable be bad?
Its not recommended, but generally won't cause any issues unless you are trying to run a cable close to the maximum length of 100m.

Giiman95 reacted to FastRDust in Will running an Ethernet cable next to a power cable be bad?
The ethernet cable is a twisted pair cable.
The twist in this cable is to make ik more resistive te EMI ( electro magnetic interference) which you power cable can make.

so there is no problem at al.

The case is semi-modular. With this I mean that the drive cage, radiator mount, PSU mount, PCIe bracket, feet, pump mount are all screwed in.
As of today, everything but the components below can be taken out. In other words, the components in the picture below are welded together while the rest is screwed in.

I went with a lightly coloured wood so it would fit well in a variety of indoor environments. Going with a stronger colour (walnut, any red wood) would make it rather challenging to place it on your desk and make it look good.

Agree with you on Space Grey.

Yes! Max height for air coolers is 120mm. Which means you can fit rather big ones such as the Noctua D9X / D9L, but not huge ones such as the Noctua DH15.
Although you can use 120mm, 140mm, 240mm AIO coolers without any issue by mounting them either at the bottom or on the radiator mount.
