  1. Number 1 feature that has me really excited is sidecar. It is a huge leap forward. Finally competition for duet display and primarily Wacom.
  2. Instead of reinstalling Windows, I’d use a program like DDU to completely remove any drivers from the RTX card. Then try either card again.
  3. @Taintedmind BIOS is independent of your Windows installation. You can update the bios without impacting windows and the opposite is true as well. The only time you shouldn’t is if you have bit locker enabled on your drive. Just putting this this out there, you don’t have to reinstall Windows to update BIOS. I figure you must have another reason to reinstall Windows, but just thought I’d verify you knew that,
  4. It’s closed to normal Floatplane members. The only ones who still have access are admins, mods and floatplane yearly subscribers. Yearly subscriptions only exist through the forum. This should only be temporary.
  5. Basically, they were losing money and needed to stop the bleeding. Another member of the forum pointed out that there was a security flaw that was letting people access Floatplane on the forum without paying. I don’t know of a single company who wouldn’t try to stop that immediately. That’s probably why it was terminated so quickly and without notice. It might even have been in their terms of service that they don’t have to notify us. It’s the nice thing to do, but they might not be obligated to. I know now my initial reaction and maybe even some of those of other Floatplane members might have been on the verge of outrage, but this new information is helping settle the issue.
  6. Hi all. I have an update on the situation with the forum. Per Floatplane Support: “The sub forum is being closed so they can work on a player that is backwards-compatible with Floatplane.com (No ETA, unfortunately).” I followed up and confirmed if the sub-forum would be coming back. “Temporary from what we last heard. Linus mentioned re-opening the subforum with a different player sometime in the future.” @Colnel_Mortis mentioned that they closed the sub forum due to people who were not paying for access had access. At least now we know their is hope for the sub-forum. Hopefully, with the support of the rest of the Floatplane members, we can convince the Floatplane team and LMG that the sub forum is worth their time.

  8. No. All videos on LTT Floatplane seem to be inaccessible through Forum now.All of my posts in Floatplane are inaccessible as well. Guess I should’ve used the download option.
  9. So other people like mods, contributors and admins can access the Floatplane forum, but not the people who were paying for access to it???
  10. The forum was my favorite feature. Plus, some videos are only available on the forum. Vote to try to get forum access back. Hear our pleas all mighty Floatplane Staff!!!
  11. Source: Disclaimer: no actual gauntlets or metaphorical gauntlets were thrown down. Just an interesting comment on a recent LTT video. I posted this video here for people to see a video linked to LTT.
  12. No!!! I resisted Epic for this long!!! RIP all my DLC ?
  13. Source: https://www.oneplus.com/product/oneplus-launch-event-ticket?from=launch7 So it looks like OnePlus is saying @LinusTech will be at the NYC launch of the OnePlus 7 Pro launches. Look under why join us.
  14. Idea: Collab with minimum of 3 TechTubers from various locations. The challenge can be anything, but it has to take place in their home area. That means someone like Jay would be limited to his area in California and Steve from Gamer’s Nexus would be limited to his area of North Carolina to find parts. Then for judging, they fly to LMG HQ. Ideally, the contestants would have their own camera operator. Jay has Phil, Kyle has Chris or Heather, and Steve has his camera guy (Sorry Steve’s camera guy. I don’t remember your name). It’s a lot of work, but a neat twist none the less. Let me know how you would expand this idea.
  15. I’m looking into setting up a 16 camera security system for a small business. They already have some Ubiquiti access points. The UniFi Protect lineup caught my eye because of its simplicity and no licensing fees. I’m currently thinking of using a cloud key gen 2 plus and a couple Poe switches along with an assortment of their g3 camera lineup. is this a good idea? Does anyone have any recommendations? Do you have any experiences with these Ubiquiti products? Any information is helpful.
