  1. I think this is necessary for a video: "How much CPU do you really need for 60hz gaming?" Like seriously, I know it's fun to benchmark CPUs at 1080p with a monster GPU to bottleneck the cpus, but except for games that really make use of many powerfull cores, most procesors can handle 60fps in most game just fine and it's a matter of gpu power more than cpu power. just look at this article when the GPU can't output more than 70fps most processors were peforming the same numbers Of course you have to also check 1% lows and all those things, but I think there's a point to make here, why invest THAT much in a CPU if you're using a 60hz monitor
  2. It would be cool to make discrete switches out of it, unlikely and probably difficult when it comes to tolerances, but it should be technically posible to do so, remember Alps Integrated Dome , yo need a conductive pad in the pivoting hammer, although the switch would need to be massive to accommodate the hammer, but it would be very cool.
  3. In most countries, unless you really fucked up (sexual harassment, violence, etc) the fired employee must have a compensation of a month’s wage for each year of service, plus paid vacations (Seriously I can't believe there are no federal laws for paid vacations or paid maternity leave, I know that this is not the case in most white collar jobs but I feel bad for blue collar workers) In my country (Chile), again unless you really fucked up, employee must compensate a month of salary for firing without a month of advance notice
  4. Got a question for you then: Are you legally mandated to pay compensation for years of service when firing contract? Are you legally mandated to pay compensation for firing someone on the spot?
  5. I'm curious if Apple would consider working with AMD. I mean, 64 cores and maybe more than 2TB of RAM with 72 PCIe lanes would really put the Mac Pro to shame and I don't see Intel binning a 50+ core giant monolithic chip anytime soon.
  6. For most business is cheaper to comply with the US regulations than creating one product for the US and other for the rest of the world.
  7. Hello guys, I'm looking for an upgrade to my current rig, currently I'm looking for a good motherboard an this MSI B450M BAZOOKA v2 fits the budget and I heard that B450 made the best B450 motherboards in terms of VRM, I don't live in the US, so the mortar is not available here, is this board good enough for a 6 core at full frecuency? thanks!
  8. I don't know what's happening, it does not work with URL ("file type not supported") nor with uploading (I get a "-200" message), I went as far as making sure to use "https://www." and the format jpg at the end of the link, I tried both in chrome and Edge (eww). I just want to use this as my profile picture "https://i.imgur.com/yudq2kL.jpg"
  9. This is not about PowerPC, the consumer market is irrelevant, POWER is a high performance and highly versatile Architecture made for HPC, the two most powerful supercomputers use POWER9
  10. https://www.zdnet.com/article/ibms-power-ful-open-source-gift-big-winner-is-china-losers-include-you-know-who/ I mean seriously, this thing is HUGE, this threats RISC-V, opens an alternative to ARM, gives Huawei a decent ISA for developing royalty-free in house CPUs and other 5G equipment and so on. And I can't believe I only found two articles about it. Edit: my english is terrible
  11. They are probably beta testing this concept in the enthusiast market given that is a very small one, probably aimed for competing with Apple's Magic Keyboard in the future, or some kind of replacement to the Logitech Craft, these markets are way bigger and love portable, backpack-friendly keyboards. edit: my english is kinda crap and I need to correct typos every time
  12. Still, if you have the lead in 5G you still have innovation, you don't become a market leader if you just copy
  13. So, a blower fan style with 2 8-pins? Bad idea
