This is a basic feature & is available on all entry level 6th gen motherboards. You can check on any website of motherboard manufacturers (gigabyte,msi,asus etc.)

it's stupid to buy AM3+ at this point
if you're gonna do it go for a used board since buying new isn't worth it in any capacity.

Rather switch your graphics card to a RX 480 8GB it last you longer and it better at new titles.

Open air cooler pushes the air in the inward direction (like the reference card). So the hot air is not directly hitting the other cards (as you might have thought) out of the open air cooler gpu. Thus there is no possible way of damaging your other cards in a mid size pc case.   

I am not able to recognize the problem but just clear all the malware on your pc with a malware cleaning software & your problem might be solved.

SSD's were free. And I got the z170 mobo for a sweet deal. Better to have it incase I ever do decide a k cpu is worth it to me, appreciate your input tho!

You don't need to apply thermal paste on anything, it comes pre-applied aio cooler & this build is definitely future proof but if you want the latest then you have to wait for a couple of months for the kaby lake architecture (i7 7700k). But the performance difference won't be huge.

Instead of spending so much on storage (ssds on raid 5) you could have bought a 1070 & z170 mobo is unnecessary if you don't have an overclockalble cpu.

Not even same price. They're less than $80, which is what the NEX is at right now. They're all hovering around $60-$75ish.

Buy a 1060 (6gb) or a rx 480 (8gb).
